my views are essentially comprised of what i would like, and what i think is possible. the former is shaped by what ive read and what ive observed, and the views ive derived from them. the latter is shaped by the former reconciled against the reality i observe in front of me and the realistic means i have. that is it. every political view i espouse comes from either one of those two sets of general views. yes, that means i could potentially hold two sets of views on a given thing, but one is subservient to the other and exists as a means to achieve the other, out of practicality rather than principle. maybe ill manage to unify these at some point, but right now i dont think its possible for me to go about life acting only towards the ideal in all situations.
my views have fundamentally shifted over the years, but essentially represent a shift from an outcomes based view with respect to seeking liberal supremacy, to one formed from a certain view of the nature of things in general and with regards to specifics. this is still something im in the process of, and i certainly wouldnt say i have a 100% coherent worldview. to a certain extent im also pulling from my experience attempting to create things that reason to some extent with my AI stuff at uni, but thats more of a perspective thing about natural systems and cognition.
