It was okay a nice slow day at work I got to drink lots of tasty tea and then I had good rolls with my brother and then we enjoyed some hash and watched piano videos and it was fun

my brother got me with a kesa gatame keylock with my arm down in his legs and him with the headlock and pulled off some nice spiderweb armbars and a good triangle and I was able to counter his flips much better. we got into a position called dogfight where you're standing up next to each other and he usually flips me from there so before he could flip me I launched myself and rolled and over shot him and took mount and that was cool

I've been learning longer as well

I taught him alot of the stuff he knows but he has the inspiration to pursue his owan knowledge and has become a decent fighter of his own merit

He has a circle of his friends he likes to whomp on and he's been teaching them all a little bit of jitsu to keep up as well that's not a part of our bigger circle so that's pretty badass. Still I do kinda toy with him. I dont give him easy taps that's for sure but our goal is to improve both ourselves. we came to the conclusion that we'vre at the stage where we've both built up a decent arsenal of moves and have been working on improving what we already know

we don't really have dedicated days where we do chokes or work guard or whatever, we just do free sparring and flow rolling so that's not so proffesional but it's certainly better than nothin

In that time he's been offered food four or five times and was refusing to take it, no matter what I did. Change his terrarium, rack him, over heat it, under heat it, dip it in chicken broth, nothing. I finally resorted to feeding him a live mouse today and he took to it. I've had forty or more snakes in my life and not one of them would only eat live exclusively. It hurt me to let the mouse die. I love animals, yknow?

I have another snake, a California King, four cats, a 13 year old blind and deaf dog, and two rats.

A friend of mine has a pet raccoon he named Rocket. It's like a cat with thumbs that steals your stuff. They're fucking adorable.

I've never, once, in the 13 years I've owned snakes, have had to feed live. Today was the first time.

And yeah, he was fed live since he hatched, which sucks, but I intend to train him to take frozen. I can only handle that one or two more times before I break and start rescuing rats.

I love animals.. I always have. I grew up on farm land for most of my life so I was always surrounded by them. In a lot of cases, I've found better friends and companions in pets than I have in people.

I got to a point where I had to acknowledge that if I continued that lifestyle, I was going to die. My parents moved to a different city without telling me, purposely trying to push me out, which was justified. Luckily I was smart enough to find out where they went, showed up at their door, and after some hours of yelling and catharsis, they let me move back in with them under some fairly strict conditions. I put up with it for a year, started working full time, went back and finished high school, and moved out. I was still pretty skidrow at that point, but at least I had an apartment to call home.

Part of the reason I can play piano, as opposed to most instruments, is simply that: It's laid out and clear as to how it works. It's a matter of muscle memory.

I wouldn't wish vagrancy on anybody who didn't genuinely want it for themselves. It's a shitty position to be in if it isn't on your own terms. It's also quite scary because once you're there, it's incredibly rare that you escape. People tell the homeless to "Get a job," but who's going to hire someone without personal transport, access to grooming materials and a shower, and regularly a multi-year gap in employment? And without that work, how is one supposed to afford those things? There's really not a lot of resource in place to give the homeless a break, but that's just the country we live in. I was lucky that I was young enough to justify leaning on my parents. I was lucky enough to have parents to lean on, for that matter.

However, if you're like me, and you would willingly choose to do it, it can be one of the most self-realizing experiences you'll ever have. I met people who weren't there by choice, but when they were offered the choice to get out of it, they actually chose to stay because they liked what it did for their character. It really lets you discover who you are behind all the social expectations.
