Yep, I mean her character in the actual manga had huge ass eyes... which was oft mocked by in-manga characters... So Cameron was following the material literally. I also think the characters have a little more personality when hand-drawn. 3-D Disney people tend to kinda look alike. People were saying Anna in frozen was Rapunzel copy-pasted in with a few minor changes. Again, I like both movies, but there's something more fun and timeless about hand-drawn animation.

Various actors start off terrible and work their way through the trade. Tom Hardy in his early roles was shoddy and rough around the edges. After many films he picked up a method and it has been honed to now. Also, to deviate,What would the Chinese care for, they literally hated the previous movie. Not like it matters though.
