On one hand I think 7 11 and other convenience stores would only carry the most tame and widely marketable doujins so losing them as a distributor isn't a huge deal, not to mention it isn't clear whether the materials will be completely removed or will be moved behind the counter or behind a curtain like in US bookstores.

There's a chance they'll make a comback shortly after the Olympics, but it will be brief and certainly won't change the trend.
