HSubs has finally got a hold of this so we're getting 2 episodes a week. It aired a couple of seasons ago but fansubs only lasted 2-4 episodes.

The funny thing about Taiwan and China is the fact that during the Cultural Revolution all the chinks who could escape (= aristocrats/rich merchants/had money/was intelligent enough to read the times) did so, leaving behind basically the equivalent of China's niggers and normalfags to be Mao's people. Did anyone else finish this? The last two episodes were released yesterday.

I'm giving it a 5/10, it's not great but it's not particularly egregious either. Has some nice moments and there isn't much in the way of QUALITY so it doesn't deserve a fail mark, especially when you consider that it's technically a short.

I also enjoyed some of the behind-the-scenes stuff. It made me really concerned to see how much secondary effort (eg, seiyuu attending cons, musical artists doing interviews about their OP, studio heads discussing why they chose to adapt this material) goes into making even the most mediocre anime.

It was nice and heartwarming and sometimes even quite funny. And not being yet another monstergirl romance cash-in was nice too.

The only thing that ever really bothered me was the goofy design of the spider-sister when she went full monster.

I guess most people judged it too harshly because it's a short and relatively cheaply made show. But first and foremost because it is based on a non-japanese series.

It's kinda slice of life with monster people.

I would not call it comfy (that word gets thrown around so much it almost lost all meaning), but it has this nice chill atmosphere around it contrasting the casts hardships
