I didn't because I'm not really interested in romance but I just thought of it when I was thinking of anime with fat MC's in it. I did watch a review of it and seemed good enough for a light-hearted romance show.

>>1167

This point is vastly underestimated. Creativity is a a special gift. Think how many Chinese there are and what little new they create. And I don't mean high tech stuff but everyday shit, apps, etc. Even something retarded like that spinner thing, all created in the west. I know a guy who works for IBM and manages Indian developer teams. White programmer, you explain what you need, what the module has to do and he programs it. Does shit like error handling, data validation and so on on his own. For the indian guys he has to write a ten page specification with every fucking detail. They have no common sense, they take everything literal, fucking robots.

Koreans are more like chinese than the japanese. So it's no surprise that they're not good with the creative side. /rant

 No.1170

>>1169

I don't want to get too political but think it has a little bit to do with the destruction of both Korean and Chinese culture as well.

China had its culture removed by commies while Koreans were basically turned into the Asian equivalent of Americans, most of them even left their native religions. So one of them went the communist route ("national culture should not exist because it creates inequality") while the other one went the ultra-liberal/capitalist route (all media is for making profit, not for creating art).

Japan on the other hand managed to defend its heritage from both the commies in the east and the Americans in the west.

Perhaps the Chinks wouldn't be the copycats we know them of today if history had gone down a different route.

why do anime characters get nosebleeds when aroused

 No.1243

>>1241

Thanks a lot.

 No.1276

>>1242

Excitement from arousal increases blood pressure in one's head. When the pressure reaches a critical point, some blood vessels will break; this happen more frequently on nose compared to other parts of human body.

Do remember that anime exaggerates many things, the volume of blood being bleed out is one of them. You just spill a little amount out blood while having nosebleed, not gush it.

 No.1293

>>1242

Because as most anime are manga adaptations, in illustrated medium nosebleed is a simple visual key for getting aroused that you can use for a multitude of effects without resorting to dialog or narration.

 No.1295

What >>1276 said, but it started in WW2 in Japan, when a lot of the soldiers were suffering lead poisoning from tainted rations. Where do you think they got the people for the early manga and animation mills, after all? And then taught the next generation and between that and putting your own country's lore into work you expect to be overlooked but gets distributed worldwide, it sorta became a thing around then.

I personally think 2010 was the last good year for anime. Some of my personal favourites are from after that year but if we're talking about periods of time where the large majority of anime was above average in quality then I don't think the 2010s is one of those periods. I personally think it has a lot to do with the fact that in the 2000s a lot of anime were manga adaptions while now it's mostly LN adaptions and to make a manga you need some sort of artistic talent while making a LN is something anyone can do since it's just a dumbed down version of a regular book mainly read by 12-year olds.

It got quite a lot of shit on western sites for its horrible CGI but since the anime industry is mostly interested in the opinions of Japanese viewers I was wondering if any people who speak moon have read opinions on it on Japanese imageboards or something. Why do people classify Mahō Tsukai no Yome (Ancient Magus' Bride) as shonen / seinen? If this isn't tailor made for females, I don't know what is.

>unloved by family / everyone

Probably because children in Japan tend to draw more in anime-ish style while in the west anime is not popular enough among children so Japs start from an early age.

You also need a lot of dedication to practice to be able to draw on that level which most western artists don't have. Look at the disgusting artstyle of most CN shows for example, an actual child could easily draw that.
