Also known as the comic market, it's the largest doujin (indie/self published) gathering event in the world where people come to buy and share doujin products. This includes games, manga, erotic material, music, and other merch. It usually takes place in the Tokyo Big Sight.

Consult the buyfag guide (buyfag.moe). Personally I use Melonbooks and Toranoana to buy doujins and music. There's also Booth.pm that some artists will use to sell stuff they won't sell anywhere else like dakimakuras or certain music CDs.

With that aside, what are you guys looking forward to? I haven't really looked at what games were coming out (no doujin game collection video has been made yet) but I'm mainly looking forward to some more Kancolle, Touhou, and Azur Lane jazz arrangements. Maybe I'll find some other gems too.

Any scanners here? What are some of the things you plan on scanning? I usually upload C.R Nest stuff but there was some artists I didn't expect to bring anything to this event this year. Also, things are already starting to reach their limit when it comes to reservations. So if you're waiting to start making reservations, you need to start now.

I went to a local comic convention and I felt awkward as fuck. It wasn't that I was scared of any one it was that I was looking at people I utterly despised. It was the naturo fans buying funko pops tier crowd and I'm an old nerd at this point. I wanted nothing to do with any one there and it made me feel dirty just having spent time around them.

Conventions aren't for people like us. They're for trinket collectors and attention whores. Unless something is exclusive and limited with no one to buy you one yourself I would avoid cons. It's just miserably and disgust. And the disgust only grows when you see how many cosplayers are prostitutes or playing social status games of hooking up with the biggest chad to rub other cosplayers noses in it.
