All anime and manga is family friendly, you just have to get used to the looks of disappointment that are forever edged onto your parent's faces and the fact that your nephews' views on love and sexuality were shaped by a catgirl and a serial molester.

I think Shirokuma Cafe is pretty family-friendly. I'm actually a bit suprised that no western company tried dubbing it, it might make for a good kid's show. But I guess western TV channels are more interested in broadcasting "educational" series and live-action garbage.

Precure. Precure is the best. Every year, garbage anime come out. Every year, everyone endlessly circlejerks and shitposts about them. That's because they are resigned. They know that no matter what they happen to watch, nothing will ever beat Precure. The animation studios know this. The stockholders/executives know this. The otaku watching along at home knows this. I know. You know. Precure is the ultimate in feel-good family friendly fun, and it releases every single year to no fanfare, because everyone knows. They've always known.
Precure just can't be beat.

Konjiki no Gash Bell. Well, except for the humor but it is a kids show so fair game. Rather fun shounen anime which does a good job of mixing episodic lighthearded eps with some darker tones in the story. Ending (last 12 eps or so) is anime orginal though, and isn't so great for many reasons, so to get the real story continuation gotta pick up the manga.. What the anime adapts from the manga is good though.

Amaama to Inazuma. A single father tries to raise his daughter alone after his wife passes away, juggling his job as a teacher and trying to be the best dad possible. His little girl wants to eat nice cooked meals like when mom was around, so he decides to sculpt his non-existent cooking skills into something that will make her smile, but raising a child isn't always easy. A student with a love of food and a mother with a busy cooking show offers the use of her mother's now-quiet restaurant as a practice ground, both to hone their skills and have nice family time together. Hijinks and delicious foods ensue, you may get hungry. In the anime adaptation they got an actual little kid to voice Tsumugi, so all the little speech stumbles and lisps you hear are authentic. The way she says "oto-san" so intensely when she sees something interesting gets me every time.

Watch Usagi Drop, it's about a man raising his surrogate daughter (she's his granddad bastard child, that's how she ended up with him). It's very cute, and shows MC bending backwards to raise her properly, showing the sacrifices that come with parenthood, and how rewarding it is.

The 1980s anime Grimms' Fairytale Classics is definitely family friendly. I had no idea it was anime until I looked up information and saw the Japanese names in the credits. I remember seeing reruns as a little kid on Nick Jr. in the early 90s and it resembled Western cartoons so learning it was anime was surprising.
As VNs, this may not count as family friendly since it is horror but there is Sound of Drop: Fall Into Poison which is not really lewd at all.
There are a couple of free VNs I would recommend such as Trick And Treat and Septia Tears.

>tfw live in a country where almost everyone, be they old or young, knows Doraemon by heart
If you actually do read the manga, read it until you finish it up to the 45th Volume. Be warned as the early volumes are pretty much gag mangas, while the later ones tend to lean on slice of life. If you want a self-contained fantasy stories (read: Isekai with Doraemon and friends) then continue on with the one-offs. The isekai doraemon books are pretty good, pic related are my favorites. Note that all of these have been adapted into animation.
There are also other spin-offs like Dorabase, Doraemon along with his parellel dimension friends or about his sister but i haven't read all of them yet.

the mango feels that way, with the whole rage/cursed shield shenanigans, but in the cartoon it turned out pretty good, because it focused and added more details about naofumi and the people he trades and help.
i like the anime better so far, but I havent read the LN.
If you want SoL, read the A Day in the Life of the Shield Hero mango.
