Funny, I'm enjoying it for how convoluted it is and would unironically call it a strong contender for best anime of the year so far.
The kids are stupid, but act consistently within their setting. Compared to the other kids, with a more "traditional" education, who seem to take their roles without questioning anything, our MCs seem to be the most logical humans we see. Kokoro being a cunt and Mitsuru and Ikuno being cold thowards each other were annoying but acceptable disturbances to create some drama, none of them faced repercussions for it though, and as stated above, 11 episodes is starting to seem too little to resolve every little side plot + main story.
Ichigo's betraial however I did not expect in the slightest, and even if I tell myself it's justifiable within her character, it's still a dick move and made me hate her for it.
But that's what drama is for. If organic characters can't make you love their qualities while hating their defects, they aren't human at all. 02 made me feel a similar emotional rollercoaster before. But that's what is so good about this kind of relationship dramas.

I don't usually care about the antagonists anywhere near as much as about the protagonists. I want the hero to succeed, and I only want the villain to fail because of that. With Ichigo we have the potential for a villain who is genuinely unpopular in her own right. Combine that with popular characters opposing her, and you have the recipe for a truly memorable final showdown. The problem is that we don't have enough episodes left to really flesh out a psycho yandere character. We would need another season.
Having her entire world break apart, having her sanity crumble as we follow her along on a downward spiral to the depths of the human being? I'd be down with that. That's the only non-BS way I can see her character being actually redeemed.

That said lets assume Kokoro was worried that the mission could go hot and wanted to be prepared. Why then couldn't she just defer the question until later? Would a simple "let me think about it", or "I'll tell you later" be too much for poor, sensitive Fats and he would have an hero'ed right there? I'll give that she may not have known how he would react but to assume that he would have jeopardized the mission after she credits him for their success as a team seems ridiculous. Actually on second thought they were partners. If they weren't compatible they wouldn't have been assigned together in the first place so she had to have a t least some understanding of his character.
The reason she lied wasn't to save the mission its because she had no reason to believe that she was going to be with the one she wanted, then when the opportunity opened up she jumped on it. There is no way 02 is dead, she's far to important to the plot. However, if she IS, then I have absolutely no idea how the next three episodes are gonna play out. Also, I'm surprised so many of the main cast survived that episode. Ikuno's hair went almost completely white, so she's most likely dying at this point. Over the last two episodes I personally went from "I really like this show" to being confused. Confused, not about what happened, but what's going to happen next. We had a plot twist, a big battle, its climactic conclusion and now we have three episodes left (assuming no second season).
You'd have to:

>build up the suspense
