Most of us have the 2-3 episode rule. What are some shows that baited you into sticking with the show, before turning around and making you realize how awful they fucking were?

The big one for me was Black Butler. I didn't know anything about the series at the time I tried watching it, but the first two episodes made it seem like some badass keikaku show about 10-year-old Bruce Wayne who sold his soul to the devil. I wasn't prepared for the giant onslaught of pure gayness that followed.

I dropped that shit after episode 10. The only good thing from that anime is the opening.

This piece of shit. It revolves around two themes: the two main characters psychic ability (or whether they're just plain old crazy) and romance that mutates into various geometric shapes as mandated by Japanese law. Only as it's revealed in the last episodes, this show is actually about nothing. Nothing happens, nothing is resolved; it's the anime equivalent to reading a teenage girl's diary.

I rarely drop animes. My one and only qualification for instant drop is fujoshit/BL gayness. Thankfully such pieces of garbage make it obvious within minutes.

A good example of instant drop is Oushitsu Kyoushi Heine.

The only reason I even picked it up at all is because the reviewer over at wizchan /jp/ said it was alright. He’s been pretty good with reviews EXCEPT for that one

Wasn't that the same guy who said the new version of Kino's Journey was really good without ever having seen the original? If so, I think he's overly positive about everything so I don't exactly take his reviews serious when looking at what seasonal shows I should watch.
