Those aren't mutually exclusive. In fact, I'd argue that you have to be pretty desperate to think that sort of thing is a good idea in the first place.

Based on my (admittedly limited) experience of MGTOWs, they seem to be much more interested in avoiding 3DPD entirely.

I can understand the roots of wanting to be mgtow, but I wish all the proponents of it would stop pretending it's a choice. All people I've seen, in real life and on the web, who tout this as the preferred way of life have serious personal issues. Weight, grooming, still living at home beyond 25, no career/education/drive in life, etc.
