The movie ending with the usual chibi endcard sequence and "That's all for today!" gave me some slight hope that this isn't the last we see from the series. I'd kill for a proper season 3, picking up exactly where the movie left off rather than being set in the same year like the first 2 seasons. Episode 1 could be recovering from end of vacation blues and settling back into their usual lives, then more episodes of comfy country loli shenanigans, Okinawa girl visiting maybe near the end, and then a proper sendoff to end it if it's going to be the final season.

I can't agree with it. Non Non Biyori is a wonderful depiction of rural life, but there are a lot of better SoL anime. It isn't even close to the ultimate ARIA and Tamayura, it lacks the beauty and the depth of GochiUsa, it's characters are a lot less refined then in Lucky Star, it isn't eve half as funny as Nichijou. Though, I can say that it's near the level of Yuri Camp and Flying Witch.

I feel like there should be a chart according to which "types" of SoL exist.
Dunno why, even though I do like Gochuumon, I can't really love it like Non Non. It feels painfully perfect withthe idyllic setting and perfect though quirky girls. They hurt in a way that makes me uncomfortable with how perfect they are. I feel Nichijou leans more on the comedic side than outright SoL, though I love it to bits and am glad they released a Blu-ray collection after years of waiting.
Haven't seen Lucky Star since it aired, but can't say it or the characters really left a mark on me, only that back then Tsukasa>Kagami, but now it's the other way around. Tsunderes with a really sweet side and that aren't abrasive bitches that can behave in more ways than tsundere are now really endearing to me.

>>912598
I really didn't like it. I can't really explain why, it just felt a little too saccharine for me.
I was actually going to compare NNB to Flying Witch though, maybe mostly because of the setting. To me, I think a SoL shines when it shows the main cast in a variety of settings dealing with actual life. NNB is great because it shows the girls at school, in their down time after school, and also on their own at home. We get a wide "slice" of each of their lives in a variety of situations. GochiUsa failed in that aspect because it basically only showed the girls when they weren't working and when they weren't at school. (At least the first season did, I haven't gotten to S2 yet) Sure there were some scenes with them working, but they were also together as a group and not really working that much, just kinda screwing around.
Anyway, Flying Witch did a similar thing. We saw Makoto dealing with the other witches, with her host family, and learning shit on her own. Same with the other characters who did shit together, but also had some character moments on their own or in small groups.
So that's my opinion. SoL isn't really a genre I'm drawn too and you've probably seen more than me, so I'll leave it at that. Maybe I'm a pleb who just doesn't get it, but it's just my impression from various SoL shows I've seen. I like watching cute girls doing cute things, but I want to see them doing it in a world that feels organic and alive on its own.

You just need to point to a file or folder you want to upload and it's going to have a trackers field where you'll want to paste the list of trackers you'll find on nyaa's rules page. Then it creates a torrent file, you just upload that to nyaa and if it's in your client's session, it should already be ready to start seeding.

This would be the most unrelated title to NNB series. Most people don't understand the main point. The main point in NNB is its atmosphere, from it's first scenes to last scenes it brings you a green and comfy village scenery. It's not "cute girls acting like precocious kids", it's a realistic lens of small town and it's pure girls away from the crowd cities.
Why I loved NNB is because of it's unique nature atmosphere. Back in 2014 when I watched the first season, it rescued me from my ultra-depressive life and changed my perspective of nature positively.

This anon gets it. Its not just the girls, and the artistic design of it (which is good, I must say), but the detailed lifestyle of the rural japanese is a great plus on the series, and makes it apart from your 581847th SoL series settled on Tokyo.
