Currently watching, taking a short break to let OP, you are not alone. I enjoy turntablism, I liked a lot of trance/electrobeat. This has both. Plus, since I work with records, seeing a Technics 1500 with the moving coil cartridge was pretty spot on. Plus, it's why I sell that stuff pretty easily.

The character design is pretty bleh, but the colors, yaes!

Some of the weirdest directing I've seen in anime ever. I'm still not sure wether pic related is supposed to be a fish-eye lense effect or if the whole show is set in one of the space colonies from Gundam...

A lot of the visuals really give me the impression that the team behind this has great ideas, but doesn't quite know how to pull them off without stuff looking somewhat janky.

I might watch another episode, if I find the time next to the other stuff airing this season.

I have a feeling you guys don't remember that this is a sequel to Handshakers, an awful anime if I've ever seen on. It was an over glorified tech demo for techniques the studio learned at the time trying to have some semblance of story. I'm surprised this was even given a sequel seeing how awful Handshakers was. I guess they tried to change the name so nobody would notice since I'm one of the few who sat through Handshakers run. The common things you'll see if this is going in that same direction is awful direction, overly colorful, lens flares, QUALITY, tons of crowds with repeating ones, fish eye lens, long animated fights that zoom like there is no limit and music that drones on longer than it should be. This seems like a tiny improvement to Handshakers but not by much.

I thought it was strange that they were using the term "Handshakers" since I knew there had been an anime by that name, but I hadn't paid the original any attention and didn't know this was a sequel. The synopsis doesn't even mention it, which says something about its predecessor.

I'd heard of Handshakers, and e-cel, er, people have really condemned Handshakers. I never saw it myself, so I don't know of anything but second-hand news.

I heard enough people dump on Infinite Stratos for years, which just intrigued me to watch it-and like it. So you can see where my tastes lie. I might have to watch Handshakers to get the right intro to this series.

I've reverse-ordered series before with success. Maybe a bit of hindsight and what to watch out for could help.

If it says anything-during the lull between seasons, i'm currently way deep back into Tokyo Ravens. Plus, i'm kinda drunk.

I only saw the first episode, but I dropped it specifically because of the generic writing. It was like any one of those shonen-y LN adaptations about special power kids, but now with horrible visuals.

Handshakers was good when it didn't do the fights, which was most of the time. I loved the ending where the bad guy just apologizes to the loli for drugging and mindbreaking her and she goes "yeah sure, we all had our circumstances I guess"
