I started thinking about it, the phrase:

"I've honestly never encountered a single series where the characters dosn't shout "umi da!" when getting to the beach."

Uses a double negative, meaning that if you remove both the negatives the meaning of the sentence would be the same. However, the following sentence:

"I've honestly encountered a single series where the characters does shout "umi da!" when getting to the beach."

does not mean the same as the former.

Double negation elimination requires that one negation negates the other. This isn't the case here because one negates the encounter while the other negates the shout.
