I've honestly never encountered a single series where the characters dosn't shout "umi da!" when getting to the beach.

I've heard "Umi desu wa".

 No.892537

>>892533

I started thinking about it, the phrase:

"I've honestly never encountered a single series where the characters dosn't shout "umi da!" when getting to the beach."

Uses a double negative, meaning that if you remove both the negatives the meaning of the sentence would be the same. However, the following sentence:

"I've honestly encountered a single series where the characters does shout "umi da!" when getting to the beach."

does not mean the same as the former.

 No.892538

>>892533

I don't think I've seen a series that doesn't include curry in it in some way.

>>892537

Double negation elimination requires that one negation negates the other. This isn't the case here because one negates the encounter while the other negates the shout.
