Sadpanda existing after all these years is mindblowing when you think about it, not to mention such a large culture of sharing and labor of love maintaining such high standards of quality. Not a lot of spaces like that on the Internet. The community even outright rejected commercial entry into the space.

It is, but I'm not sure if you can call it a doujin since it's in a traditional manga-sized book instead of a handful of pages. Maybe pic related will help your search. It turns into a snuff hentai where the daughter runs away and they shoot the mother after she catches up to her. Afterwards they amputate the daughter's leg so she can't run away.
Never has a hentai ever made my blood boil as much as the first set of stories regarding the brown loli contained in this one. It's warming my heart by making me angry instead of warming it with love.

I don't know why but I think that wotagei is pretty cool and endearing even though I'm not into idol culture. It's just people showing their enjoyment and appreciation of both the song and the performer on stage the best they can, and whenever I see it in anime I am reminded that this phenomenon does in fact occur in real life and it never ceases to amaze me.
Another thing which I greatly appreciate is doujin artists/actual mangakas; people devoting a good chunk of their life to something they love considering being a mangaka is hardly worth it economically. If only I had a quarter of the drive and discipline they have I might actually get somewhere.
No.882151
The best thing about all of this is humerous h-manga out there.
The second best thing out there is how people come together and dedicate a lot of their time to translation so other people can watch/read and enjoy the material. The people that do it for free and are acting only out of a labor of love are the real heroes.
Both those things warm my heart.

It's really warming. They could play the "I'm too cool to answer" card or tell that they don't speak your language, but they do it anyway.
I also like it when a place became more crowded due to organic interest. Nowadays it's becoming more common to promote a city, product, prefecture or anything, but a few years back when people haven't though that of shilling their stuff and these dweebs still went to visit or buy something, even helping a little bit with the economy, it's kinda warming. One recent occurrence was with Kemono Friends, people liked the show and girls so much that business went up in zoos before doing cross-promotion. There were a lot of these dweebs posting in their social media about visiting X zoo and finding all the real Friend counterparts.
Of course, not all of them behave well or comply with the rules (like some Yurucamp fans that were being rude and annoying when they started camping), but I don't know if this happens a lot. Hopefully this interest in things due to anime and manga translates into good memories, or finding a craft or new hobby.

Related to this, I absolutely love how some series can focus so much on a random subject and take it to autistic/hot-blooded levels. Keijo, Umamusume and Ballroom sound like some lame stuff, but if you drop your smug attitude, the seriousness and intensity in which they treat their themes can make you excited. They're talking about asses and nipples in Keijo, but you can't help but get excited with some of the matches.

I know almost everyone here probably hates Free! because it's fujoshit but goddamn it, that series actually made me want to swim professionally and I haven't truly enjoyed swimming in a pool since I was very young, mostly due to this stupid irrational fear I have of them. I've never really been into sports irl either but watching this was my gateway into other sports anime and really made me reconsider how I feel about them. I especially like the fact that Haru isn't a stereotypical happy-go-lucky, flamboyant protagonist (quite ironic considering Todd Haberkorn voiced him in the English dub, which is a total 180 from arguably his best known work as Natsu from Fairy Tail) but is rather a soft spoken, generally reserved and almost seemingly depressed high schooler who's autistically good at swimming and treats it much the same. Now, if only there was an anime about ice hockey...

I dont hate it. Its probably the most old-Kyoani-style show Kyoani has done recently. All the guys are essentially male versions of the K-On girls. The implied yaoi isn't any worse than the implied yuri we often see so I don't have a problem with it. Yaoi is fine with me as long as the guys are cute.

Free! is a great show, I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it. People are entitled to their opinions and can choose not to watch male-centric anime, but you can't call it fujoshit while also choosing to watch yuribait anime. There are different demographics for each show, and if some guys were more secure in their sexuality they might actually enjoy it. Ironically, these people seem to care more about the male nakedness and implied yaoi than the actual fans of the show

>you can't call it fujoshit while also choosing to watch yuribait anime
I feel like the fujoshit label is over-applied. When I hear "fujoshit" there's certain tones, character types, and dynamics that come to mind, beyond simply "anything with yaoi or yaoi undertones", which is how it sometimes gets used.
It's entirely possible to have a yaoi or yaoi-bait series that isn't fujoshit. It's just not necessarily very visible or accessible, especially to an audience like us who aren't generally all that eager to sort through actual fujoshit to find it.

Wow, that's pretty much the complete opposite reaction of what I was expecting. For some reason, I got the feeling that no one here really liked Free! I think because of a thread I once saw, but obviously I was wrong. Maybe I should post about it more, then. To clarify what I said, I didn't mean that I personally considered it to be fujoshit but rather called it that because that's what I thought the general perception of it was with a lot of the anons here and why they didn't like it, although once again, I was clearly wrong about that.
I think one of the biggest reasons why I love that show is because of how comfy it is, especially their home town being a port town, which I have a special affinity for. It's just pleasant and relaxing to watch overall. Also, there were a decent amount of moments that made me actually laugh audibly, something that isn't always easy to do depending on the anime I watch. Most of them were from Haru, specifically him calling Rin a douchebag after putting a bag over his head and telling him to "quit bitching" when they're forced to share the same bed together when they go to Australia. Speaking of which, anyone watch season 3 yet, and if you have, how does it compare to 1 and 2? Personally, I liked 1 better than 2 just because I enjoyed watching Haru, Makoto, Nagisa and Rei all trying to work together as a team in the beginning and all the training and early stuff they had to go through as well as Haru and Rin's rivalry before they made up.
>Yaoi is fine with me as long as the guys are cute
Pretty much the same here, although I'm a bifag irl so that's why for me
