At most one moe series get decent production values a whole year, they are usually just low effort, low budget filler shows.

Compared to the past, where they could get some of the highest budgets and best production values.

You can look at Hidamari, or even low key shows like Manabi Straight, they were all multiple cuts above any current moe shows, save it from that one title in a hundred.
