Maybe Overlord was just so bad it has lowered my standards for the moment, but I thought the CG sequence looked reasonably good. On the other hand something about it gave me the impression that it was trying to show off for the first episode, and that later on it would get worse. It also felt like the start and the end were too sudden.
I didn't find any of the girls particularly likeable.
I hope they don't spend too much time in the yellow world. It looks like it was designed by someone who played New Vegas and thought the pissfilter was too subtle.

I know it sounds laughable, but every time there is a format change, from cylinder to 78 to LP to cassette to cd, there's a lot of stuff that falls through the cracks.
Plus, my car still has it's stock cassette player. Kinda fun to drive down the road-get to a red light and have idiot hi-hop on one side, crappy faux metal (radio friendly) on the other, and just crank some I've sound or Fripside at people.

Considering this anime is supposed to launch a free to play mobile game, I seriously doubt it. Had they ended on a really good episode, Akanesasu Shoujo had a decent chance of ending up as my AOTS. While far from the best show of the season, I had a lot of fun with it, and it was a somewhat unique story, too. But this last episode kind of fizzled out.
It was a more original solution than a big battle with everyone in their assburger armors shooting lasers, sure, but this again was just "Kyo-chan this, Kyo-chan that, owari", however nice the visuals accompanying it were. Also it didn't do much to conclude the story, Bakasuka fixed emissary-Asuka, but the King still remained. I guess it was meant to be one of those "...and the battle continues!" endings, probably tying into the mobage. I'm glad they at least threw that bone in for Shiriasuka.
If nothing else, it was definitely the most underappreciated show this season, not nips, not weebs, nobody was watching it.

They were obviously created to make the girl characters grow and not function as possible worlds that could exist on their own split from wherever they split from.
The cliche route would have been to make the king of twilight Kyo but they switched to alt Akane. Though it resolves Akane's own feelings on punishing herself for losing Kyo, it really doesn't resolve the whole Kyo missing in every fragment thing. I thought that part would be explained as supernatural in origin and culminate in the end but they kind-of gloss over the why of it. Might be resolved in a second season if they ever get it.

I'm completely okay with them not ending it on some giant battle and with Asuka not getting a transformation.
