I'd like to see a Digimon series made with more of an adult focus to it. Do a kaiju movie but with digimon and see how far you can push the horror elements. I know they won't do it but I think it has some real legs to it.
>Be a normal dude going about life
>Digimon materalize and start to destroy Tokyo
>Dude finds a cute digimon like Terriermon or Koromon injured
>Tried to protect it from a building collapse
>Digimon bonds with him from the care
>The two of them flee the giant ass monster
>As Dude and digimon bro flee from various kaiju style digimon like Tyrannomon and Kuwagamon
>Dude and digibro bond
>End up trapped in dead end with a big digimon
>Digibro evolves and protects Dude from an attack, Slaughters the kaiju digimon but can't take on the biggest monsters
>More fleeing but now the kaiju are more aggressive after seeing one of their friends killed
>End up with some other companions, some with digimon and some without
>Kaiju digimon finally trap them in a way they can't escape
>Fight happens
>Good guys getting their shit wrecked
>Dude picks up a pipe and smashes in some smaller Digimon's heads.
>Dude is injured and bleeding out
>Digibro loses his shit and takes on Perfect form/armoured form/matrix evolutions to merge with human and proceeds to kick the ever loving shit out of the Kaiju digimon
>City is a blaze
>Military are moving in
>Heroes are nearly dead laying in the middle of a pile of digimon corpses when the military arrive
>Movie ends with the heroes surrendering to the military who are suspicious of the monsters
It's such an obvious film to make and it would be amazing. Digimon can do post apocalypse scenarios as it did with Savers. It just needs to admit it has adult fans and stop the bullshit kiddy non-sense which stagnates the entire cast into being blank slates with no development unless your names Ken.
