If you are into seasonal series, and by the number of threads for shows from Spring '18, individually, I would say there are followers-what do you catch up on in your backlog while there's a chance?

I have certain shows, if not episodes of shows that are my "go to" episodes when and if needed. When I catch up on current seasons though, I start cruising my EHD files. Lately, I've caught up on NouRin, Noucome, Sky Girls, Yuru Camp, Gabriel Dropout, and Black Bullet. The one that I finally re-watched was Maji de Watashietcetc.

I think my favorite juxtaposition was watching Kancolle and Haifuri side by side. High School Fleet won that fight.

So, rather than go for the obvious "what did you watch this season" thread-anyone else wants to do the honors, onegai-go right ahead. But this is a thread for things you just decided to re-watch for no apparent reason. tl:dr drunken autism.

How would you feel about a crossover where Kancolle girls have Haifuri minigirl crew members doing all the work required to keep the kancolle boat afloat? Also there is a minigirl flavor of the kancolle like mental models in Ars Nova compared to full ship size.

This interests me. Though I haven't played the KanColle game-I'm not a gamer-I did enjoy the anime when aired. It did not diminish on the re-watch. But for some reason, Haifuri held together better in my mind.

I think I see where you are aiming though, having the KanColle as the ships, but having the Blue Mermaids pilot, maintain, and call the shots.

If that's the case, then absolutely yes, I'd get invested into that.

Miracle Girls and Legend of Galactic Heroes. It's been the case for the last few months. It may have been a mistake to start on two fairly long series at the same time when my watching schedule is so sparse, because I'm finding it a bit of a slog. I stopped keeping up with seasonal shows last year.

I've made it my goal to get through Space Brothers before the end of next season. It's a little dry, but I think this anime is a good influence on me. 24/7 moeshit and gag anime does turn your brain to mush. You need something substantial every once in a while.

I've got a spreadsheet with 649 rows of backlog and a nifty function that picks one at random and puts it in a special cell. It told me to watch the Sasameki Koto anime. So far it's better than Sakura Trick was. This fuckin' megane is the cutest thing.

You have far more patience than I. Long series are ones that I just don't feel I have the gumption to even attempt at such a long time/series. Probably the longest series i've watched is completely different. Yes, I do mean Shin-Chan. I am somewhat addicted to stupid.

Speaking of which, I like the ideas of the weapons of war girls shows together. Think of the movie that could be made. But I've got another side by side viewing coming up. Since I've recently re-watched Hana no Uta and Tsuki ni Naku, I think I'll do both the original and '13 seasons of Yozakura Quartet. First season had the better art and music, but the redux had stronger storylines and was closer to the Yasuda manga.

Plus, someone finally advanced the manga scans recently. It's only been about 2 years now!

In between seasons I usually watch shows I don't normally enjoy to try something new. I'm almost done with Arc-V.
