>Say out lout what you are seeing whenever you draw from a model or reference.
As in.
This shape is a box, I can see the front face, the side face and the top face.
It points this way.
The empty space between it and the other shape is half of this shape.
Etc.
Also, draw what you see, not what you think or "know" when drawing from a model or reference.
But yeah, you will need time, it will need time.
On the other hand, you cannot fail if you keep going, this is 100% true and a guarantee, not just for animu but all art.
Consider this picture, though, by Kim Jung Gi.
And logically work through the following hypothetical statement.
Imagine you are put into time dilation chamber that gives you basically infinite time.
You would be able to copy this picture perfectly by simply drawing one (1) single (1) singular line over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again until you can do this one (1) single (1) singular line with your eyes closed and in your sleep while drinking water and playing hopscotch.
Now this line is effortless and you move on to the next line.
Since the first line is 100% effortless, you can now dedicate your entire brainpower on drawing that second line, over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, until this line, too, becomes fully second nature to you and is 100% identical to the original.
Then you move to the third line, since the first two lines are absolutely effortless to you, you can dedicate your entire being to drawing that third line over and over and over and over again, you get the point.
This is how you should see fundamentals.
If you embrace this dumb grind and don't bite off more than you can chew, but instead just right.
You will make the FASTEST GAINS POSSIBLE.
Especially if you analyze what you are doing all the time.
But drawing a lot is so powerful that even mindless doodling will get you mileage and gains, just slower than deliberate practice.
And logically, you cannot deny this, right?
If you had infinite time then you would be able to copy this picture by drawing one line at a time.
You're in luck, though, in real life, gains come much quicker.
And even more so if you, again, work from simple to complex.
I 10000000000000% guarantee you this
You can only fail at drawing if you stop drawing.
But even if you only draw a single line then you've drawn more and better than someone who has drawn zero lines.
This is 1000000000000% true.
Even if you tried to prove me wrong, you'd end up proving me right.
So, set yourself up for success.
Keep drawing, remember to keep things simple until they are effortless to you and then move up.
It sounds like a longer path than just grinding whole things like bodies, but it's actually not, because you'll see all the simple shapes in the complex ones and since you know them in your sleep you will have full brain power to study the complex thing that is made from many simple ones.
You're gonna make it.
Everyone is, if they keep at it.
