Kaosu is my favorite character in Comic Girls but I wouldn't want the studio to sexualise her.
Moe and fanservice don't work well together, a beach or onsen episode is ok but too much fanservice and the moe will suffer under it. Comic Girls issue isn't Kaosu but that the other characters are too sexualised, Ruki being a H-artists is a terrible choice for a moe manga/anime.
All the big Kirara hits (K-ON,Yuru Camp, Hidamari, GochiUsa) didn't have large ammounts of fanservice, K-ON didn't even show Mio's pantsu when she flashed it to the concert audience, but instead showed an image of a stripped rice bowl.
And it's not that I dislike fanservice, I love fanservice and I agree with your statement that fanservice is a glorification, but personally I feel that fanservice is out of place in moe anime.

When the girls do it to each other and do it well like in Slow Start its just a cute perverted girls anime. AnneHappy had one beach episode but the hair service was better by far. It seems the market prefers more pure girls or at least girls not too shown off by the creator. Stuff like Gochuumon has some fan service but not as much as Hinako Note and Slow Start. YuruCamp is in the same vein as it has some with the onsen scenes but leaves the door open for viewers to create their fantasies.

Funny that they were both well-received here. And I'm not going to mention the other CGDCT that "flopped" because Nips have shit taste. Obviously, sales aren't a true sign of quality, and it's hard to argue that the mix of moe/chibi and lewd was inherently a bad thing or a cause of poor sales to begin with. And if you are against fanservice mixing with moe, then Kaosu is fitting that bill... that approach towards Kaosu may be to your liking, but modern anime hates lolis -kun and the like will just complain about her lack of fanservice compared to the others. Hinako was a case where the lewd actually did feel out of place with the rest of the moe SOL stuff. A lot of it was pretty nice, but the transition from run of the mill everyday events to lewd fanservice wasn't managed very well and it felt like they were overdoing it a little bit. A little bit of fanservice can go a long way, you don't need the girls to show everything that's what doujins and fanart is for. Slow Start managed this a lot better by having all the lewding be done by Tama and her rampant gay imagination. You get used to her sudden outbursts about nipples and flags once you get to know her, while the fanservice in Hinako Note never felt like it was part of the characters in and of themselves, it was just something tacked on in an attempt to help sales. Hinako Note was fine in many other respects but this was one issue I had with it.

Personally I thought it made the show stand out more, pushing the boundaries of what you'd get from a moe SOL, and that the deliberately somewhat jarring contrast only made it more fun to watch, as you wondered what it was going to do next.

I didn't say that, but for Kirara anime disc sales are usually very important. Most funding for Kirara anime doesn't come from Houbunsha but from BD/DVD publishers, they also usually sell more than 3k. Out of the 32 Kirara anime (including sequels) 18 sold above 3k.

If you look at Kirara adaptations then no Kirara anime that sold below 5k average received a second season.

Amimetics did calculations for the liklihood of anime (2005-2012) receiving a sequel, he arrived at the conclusion that an anime with a really good foreign license needs 2250 average sales to break even, he valued the good foreign license as being worth 750 sales.

He didn't adjust the calculations for day time anime which aren't reliant on sales, or anime that have big secondary revenue streams.
While I do accept that the Manabi Line might be a little too high for the current time period, most late night anime still should break even somewhere between 2-3k.
Since CGDCT are heavily reliant on BD/DVD sales, have usually no large manga boosts or big foreign popularity their break even point should normally be at least at 2.5k average sales.
Slow Start will average around 1.5k (current average for 2 volumes is 1598), this is too low for it to break even, I stand by my opinion Slow Start is a flop. I am 99% certain that Slow Start won't get a second season.

Kaosu's eyesight is 0.7 in the right and 0.6 in the left eye. She used a Landolt chart so I suspect its the meter or decimal system she was scored on. Regardless this is a valid number on two different eyesight scales.

Totally unacceptable. Given a randomly selected webm on here as an example, a single 12TB hard drive today can store some 7 years of continuous video and associated audio. Ten of these drives would be capable of holding a video of every second of a persons life (70 years). Its absolutely unfathomable why people delete anything with such quantities of storage available.

Finally the Kaosu story came and went and brought many tears and laughs. A bit too fast since she did so much this week. It really hurt to be reminded you will never hug and celebrate Kaosu finally getting a manga accepted. It must have been a bit emotional for the mangaka too to see this scene adapted. Considering that Kaosu is the mangaka's self-insert the pacing and lack of Kaosu characterization is forgivable. Kaosu isn't the kind of person to write all about herself and would put those around her as more interesting. I refuse to believe the implication of this story that there is a 3DPD out there who is Kaosu
