Gap moe is bad because:

1. Moe itself is bad, because it ties the personality to a predictable set of behaviours, which are already tired and you can see miles away it coming. It has become satire everywhere by how bad it is. If there's any sort of "Good moe" then it's natural, and it's not called "moe", it's called a good character personality, adaptive and not tied to archetypes and sets of behaviours.

2. Which makes way to how the "Gap" is bad, because, as everyone already knows how such pitiful closed-personality acts, they try to surprise the already tired audience with something new, the "gap", which is just a cheap device to make a cheap character stand out when it would clearly just be another old trope. But guess what? The "gaps" have become standardized too! And the cycle continues, with this cliche generation that has become a necessity in a world where characters aren't well made and have to rely on gimmicks.

Try to compare the characters of Old, like Lina Inverse for instance - she gets bored, happy, sad, she can be pure, kinky, funny, annoying, etc

Now take your shitty girl of today's anime - you know how she'll behave just by her looks sometime, there's nothing there, she's a robot.

I've witnessed a few instances of this that made me cringe. Some shows have that whole "cookie cutter" feel about their characters that's unmistakable and leaves you with a sour taste in your mouth. Like they were created by computer generator that mixed all the desired traits.
