Since I like this idea and I only have semi-recent trivia that no one else probably cares about, I hope you don't mind me bumping with stuff like this:

You can no longer see SCANDAL's early high school days of covering K-On! songs on Youtube. All the videos of them in their young years back before they got signed and became big, obnoxious, and bad a performing were taken down a few months ago.

All that's left is their new, tryhard concerts where they have no charisma. Vid is case in point.

Even as far as audio recordings go, I only turned up one EP and a couple of singles on AB from 2008 (so right after they were signed up, I'm assuming) but nothing from the 2006-2008 period. What a shame.

What's really a shame is that I was waiting for an excuse to share those performances with you all, and when it finally came, the videos were gone.

Hearing them play Doll for the first time in their school uniforms felt like it swelled my heart three sizes.

They were on a small raised platform inside somewhere. The audience was mostly uncaring. Sometimes they messed up, but they continued, and it seemed like they were having lots of fun.

The vocalist was as upbeat as a shy high schooler could be.

The basist had long black hair like Mio that covered her face while she played. She was also the back-up vocalist, and she was incredibly shy and soft-spoken.

The drummer was too loud due to nerves.

The other guitar player was so into her music she could sometimes seem as if she's not even there, her technical skill far outshined the vocalist.

When they started playing, it sounded odd like you were watching a garage band and I didn't know if I would enjoy it, but then there was a small pause before the chorus kicked in and something changed. The vocalist strummed her guitar with fierce passion together with her friends and shouted to the world that they weren't going to be locked in their glass cage anymore. For the rest of the song, they played with increasing passion.

Altogether, they made some magic in that room that can't be duplicated and I wish I had saved it. I thought I would get into them after that, but watching their new performances gave me a sour taste in my mouth. It was like watching something pure turn into corporate-driven degeneracy. They all had non-dyed natural black hair before. Now they have all that fucked shit in there and wear tight-fitting whore clothes.

embed gets across a corporate-washed version of it. I hate how she keeps shouting during that pause before the chorus.

Around 2:35 you can see the drummer do that headbanging motion while drumming. She was like that for most of the time back then, but you could always make out a genuine smile.

The bassist doing that shitty "moe" voice is grating and disingenuous. It sounds forced, doesn't it?

They wanted to break out of their glass cage, but when they were signed they were put in a bulletproof aquarium. They seem so fake now.

In any case, 2008 shouldn't be too bad. The second video I saw were of them playing Don't Say Lazy in a dingy music club like it was straight out of the K-On! Live House OVA.

Oh, I forgot to mention they were stationary during the performance. Walking around the stage winking and such to the crowd is something I feel goes against the nature of the song.

The Sacuracon concert is a lot like I remember, but they're more sure of themselves here. Thanks for sharing, anon.

You see how the vocalist goes between the bassist and guitarist to try and get them more engaged? There was a lot of that in their high school days, even though you could see she was nervous, too. She was the only one who would be jumping around trying to raise the energy. You see how the guitarist does that stationary foot stomping thing? She used to do that all the time, but with a lot less jumping around. It looks like the bassist picked up on it a little. I remember the bassist used to wear glasses back then, but it looks like this is when she started wearing contacts.

They still have some of that chemistry here and don't seem like the mass-produced garbage they became. The song composition in their early stuff is good. It requires good communication between them, though, and it doesn't seem like that have that anymore. It leads to a charming performance when they get it right.

It's still not like I remember, but at least they're still wearing their high school uniforms.

Yuru Camp's ranking had a massive improvement from last week, and it's currently rank 1 in the BD/DVD section of Amazon Japan.

I am now pretty certain that Yuru Camp will break 10k, there's even a chance that it might break 20k.

Idol Seven's Oricon numbers will be out in 3 days, since it's a fujo series I expect that it's 15-25% underestimated.

We didn't. This is the first official announcement regarding Danmachi season 2.

But there was massive ammounts of misreporting regarding this series by many normalfag sites, some claimed that the spin-off Sword Oratoria was the season 2, and other sites just outright lied or took online rumours as facts.

This'll make a good anime if they follow the chibi style for shenanigans, but I'm unsure how they're going to cover up some of the rape and murder themes present in the series. Just don't bother reading the LN since the translator is fucking trash that has managed to ruin it. The LN is trash in general, but it's enjoyable trash that would translate well into an anime if they properly capture the characters in a Dragon Half style animation/usage of puns.

Nothing was 'wrong' with it so much as nothing was right; it was bland despite having originally tried to sell itself on an interesting premise/setting. It hasn't even been 2 years and the first thing that comes to mind when I think about it is that one random character whose head was shaped like a light bulb. Visuals were completely uninspired even by the standards of 'realistic'-looking anime, most of the major characters felt like they had no agency and were just there for the convenience of the plot, they spent most of the time on bullshit when we had originally been promised mind games (even the title tries to sell it this way), etc. It was just mediocre. Not offensively bad like some things that season, just mediocre.
