She's cuter (lookwise is more personal but definitely personality-wise; Ram goes for a "sexier" personality appeal, fitting for the older sister just as being the cuter fits the younger), stronger, has bigger breasts, and is more hardworking and responsible. Some of this is due to Rem compensating for being the less naturally talented of the two but stepping up majorly after her sister lost her horn and she felt guilty about the tiny bit of joy it brought her.

Also because Subaru is the protagonist of the series and Rem serves a prominent role in his story as a love interest, allowing us to also appreciate her more. Ram's love and devotion is to the shady clown.

Except you don't see too much of the other sister so you can't correctly judge which is better.

She was so forced it became unbearable to like her.

First, she your normal girl with no affection towards MC, then she indeed starts to like him.

But it didn't stop at that, she became incredibly submissive to MC, and not in a good sense, she almost became like a slave and completely erased her previous personality in favour of a new one.

This happened in anime before, this is catering to male fantasies of being a looser and still making girls desperately fall in love with them. And I don't have problems with that, anime is selling fantasies, and it often heals people.

But this time was too much, what they did to Rem was simply disgusting and infuriating.

Then MC rejects her, and confess to the silver haired girl (I don't even remember the names of this shitshow) only to be answered with a:

Well... err... You're such a good friend, I like you very much for that.

Or something on these lines - it was that awkward moment when the girl doesn't want to hurt the feelings of the guy but simply isn't on the same page as him.

I remember finding this moment nice, specially because I wanted the crap MC to die (what a shitty anime), but it overall, in an animation perspective, was just as bad as the whole Rem thing, I really don't know what passed through the Author's mind.
