Indeed. The girls are cute, wonderfully cute thanks to Kantoku I want to reproduce with all the blondes at least 5 times per day , but main girl is so plain that it became her power. In fact shes is unbeatable. Everyone else is restricted to magic from their own story but this girl is writing her story as it goes so she can make up literally anything to win. Its great but disappointing since inevitably she will lose to someone for the character growth arc.

The climax of the battle between main girl and thief girl was just them talking and eventually showing magic while shouting at each other. I should probably lower expectations of battles with main girl involving any kind of physical activity.

The russian team was trying looney toon level of logic to get rid of the japanese team: supplying them with milk thinking they're lactose intolerant, trying to lock up someone in a basement room that, spending hours trying to clean it up and finally their plan failing because the room had free wifi.

I cannot wait for America, Germany and England to lose. Russia probably has the most interesting and lovable team. Theyre all idiots but the other teams have this business-like feel where I think they would leave each other to die without second thought. The Russians feel like family. So far the anime has consistently been quite funny when it was just being silly, and complete trash when it was trying to be serious. The other teams all seem like they've got sticks up their asses, so there probably won't be much humor there, the old hags sitting around a table bitching about being dried out downstairs don't seem to have much potential either. I was going to drop this before the Russians appeared, and I probably will now that they're gone, though I'll give it an episode. I doubt there are any more good things left to come.
