For those observers, yes S2 is exceptionally better than S1, but it's still trash. Yes, Ebina gets closer to Onii-chan but it still doesn't get anywhere. No, Umaru still doesn't change, but it constantly teases that she might.

I don't think it is. I found Umaru's otakuness to be annoying but that's what made the show. Now she has a human side and stops being selfish and helps her friends out with whatever. I just want a cute girl to be pure otaku trash.

Like I think I said in the last thread, I haven't been enjoying season 2 as much as season 1, though I don't remember it that well. The defining character of Umaru was that she led a split life where she was a model student at school, but really all she wanted to do was stay home and play vidya. The show is named after this. Now this dimension of her character is all but gone and its just Umaru's friends get up to some hijinks the show. Its still fairly comfy to watch, and neither season was ever particularly good.
