But no, it shouldn't get a sequel. There's this thing nowadays where people want to know what happened before or after a series they like and it's never done well. All it ever manages to do is ruin some of the magic.

No, there's nothign more to tell. All of the good characters are dead, Light's shinigami went back to his world and took his book with him. Any sequel at this point woud just be a half assed excuse to feature those two fucking brats that no one liked.

There would never be another human capable of properly using the Death Note besides Light, and never be another human capable of foiling him except for L. This was a story about two geniuses who had a battle of wits over the fate of the world, and Light won. That should have been the end of it, but moralfaggotry forced the writers to keep going so a "bad guy" wouldn't control the world.

It was a really good cat and mouse story up until Misa showed up. Then it became sluggish and stupid. Then L died and killed it completely.

Silly over the top autist hijinks were fun while they lasted for those 3 or so episodes, however long it was before Misa showed up.

Only if they make the characters actually intelligent and not use ass pulls to come to their conclusions. Basically, do the cat and mouse thing Kira and L had going on, but done better. Also, never introduce Misa or the 2 detectives from the last half of the series. They were all terrible.

That won't happen though. They'd just make an even worse series with pandering and original series references for the free attention.
