So, have you been rewatching anything lately, /a/? Any anime you really loved? Or maybe the classics?

I've been rewatching K-On!, as I do every year. I really love this show, it's funny that I forget a lot of things, so it's very entertaining to rewatch it.

The only thing I regularly re-watch and have watched probably 6+ times already is the first Slayers movie. Fuck I love Slayers. It's almost like a reset that I pull after watching a few other shows and feel like I might be getting burned out, revitalizes me. I don't typically re-watch shows though. Kill La Kill was pretty good though and worth the experience again. so I'm re-watching it right now. I re-watched Black Lagoon literally the second I finished it the first time because I was like

It's been a few months since I rewatched them but I went through all of Yuru Yuri, Non Non Niyori, and Mushishi. I haven't been watching non-normalfag anime for long, maybe 3 or 4 years so I didn't watch those series until about 6 months to a year before the rewatch.

I'm mostly trying to get through a lot of older shows but lately I've also been watching quite a bit of modern stuff so my progress has slowed. Last classic I watched was Lucky Star I finished that about a week ago and I look forward to that rewatch. I think my next rewatch will probably be Mitsudomoe and Armor Hunter Mellowlink which I watched maybe 3-4 months ago. After that I'll probably go through Non Non and Mushishi again. I haven't read any of Mushishi but if there is still content left to be animated I would love another season.

I like that kind of anime but I dropped K-on after the end of the first season. It looked like every single girl but Azusa had a sin relating to sexual behavior. I don't remember it now since I watched it years ago but no one was pure in there. I couldn't enjoy it like that. I don't watch cute girls to see what will soon be a bunch of sluts and dykes in the future. It felt really subversive to me since it was at least originally marketed as young girls having fun, no evil at all. But it was pretty visible to me that the roots of erroneous behavior held all of them.

Flying Witch and Spice and Wolf. The latter for the millionth time.

Also, I have to watch Lucky Star at least once a year, else I go sick. This year I watched it three times back to back.

>>763330

Pretty much. The characters a varied, likeable and everyone get's a good amount of screentime. It looks decent to good, depending on the season or movie, some of the fights during the season finals are actually kinda dramatic even. Most importantly for a comedy series: the humour works.

The first season has kind of a slow start but it just get's better with each episode/season.

I also wasn't a big fan of the last to seasons fuck them for pulling that "Naga finally meats the rest, lolno she doesn't really" but that might have been just me and even so there's more than enough material.

 No.763538

>>763493

Love Live, Love Live Sunshine, Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?although cute Shyaro is kind of bisexual and even Yuru Yurithis one doesn't pretend to be innocent and most characters repent homosexual behavior are OK by me. K-on was subversive and that is what made me not like it. It pretends to be something while showing subtle implications of other stuff. Seriously the work of someone trying to change others' views on the world. The vast majority of people not realizing it means they succeeded.

It scares me even further when I think about some of the sublime messages that I've seen and they make me wonder how further they went with it. How many messages have I not seen?

An example that is easy to spot is on the last episode of season 1.

Ritsu has recently received what she thought is a love letter. Without even knowing the person she is already going crazy over "him". This is not sublime in the slightest and is slut behavior. Falling in love in high school with a guy you don't even know and has never talked to and that's OK? Come on.

On this episode she simply disappears. The main characters don't know where she is and neither the audience. Later on, the main characters (but Ritsu who has disappeared) are on a random fast food place. At this moment the watchers and the characters don't know where Ritsu is. The watchers "know" she got a love letter thoughand a call earlier that day if I remember correctly.

While they are chatting and this fast food place a cut scene out of nowhere shows a couple for 2 seconds or so, a black man and a Japanese girl who looks like Ritsu(same hair color, same eye color, wearing an item that looks like the one Ritsu usually wears on her hair and a Yukataeven conservative girls fuck niggers?) on a date. The episode goes on for a few minutes until they learn that they couldn't contact her because she was in a supermarket without her phone or something.

What is the use of that cutscene that adds nothing to the story during their chit chat? What was their purpose?

That show is no good. And it makes me feel sad that even though who usually think ahead of the curve are not seeing it. Instead, it became an ever lasting meme where everyone is forced to like the show or else.

Ok, watch that episode and tells me what is the use of all these coincidences on a show within 2 episodes.

>Ritsu receives a love letter

>keeps quiet about it

>doesn't even know who sent it to her and is already in love(slut behavior is ok guys)

>receives a call that the viewers can't hear one day

>disappears and none of her friends (neither the viewers) are aware of her whereabouts for an entire day

>they all get together to chat

>talking as usual

>random cut scene that adds NOTHING during the girls' conversation pops up

>it's a black guy on a date with a girl exactly like Ritsu(but with an Yukata and a hair style that fits an Yukata, including an item on her head that is the same color as Ritsu's**despite it not being the same exact item)

>same eye color, same hair color

>just as the viewers are wondering where Ritsu is after a love letter and a mysterious phone call

>few minutes later it's cleared out for the viewers that it was not a love letter and she went to the supermarket or something

I don't usually rewatch shows that often, unless I'm watching them on a stream or with someone else. Alright, if you want a TL;DR of what actually happens in that scene. Ritsu finds a letter full of romantic writing in her mailbox, she thinks it's a love letter and has the same reaction as pretty much every anime character ever "Lo-love letter?! T-to me?!". Then she and the rest of the characters get's a text message from Yui. They meet up and it's reveald that it's the lyrics for their new song that Mio put into her mailbox. There's no "cutscene" in the middle of the episode, no black guy and certainly nobody with a yukata since it's in winter.

First, that doesn't exist.

Second, I check hashes.

I rewatched it a little. Here it is. I messed up a little previously.

It gets a little worse. That day you also see her at the start of the episode taking more care about what she should be wearing when getting out of bed after reading the "love letter" once again. She even mentions how she should do her hair and you see her using some hair gel(never seen before). And then, boom, there it is, her "clone" with different hair style. Yukata was a mistake of mine. Seen it years ago.

Also, this scene happens before the other girls were there chatting, my bad. The guy is not a total nigger either but obviously darker "mongrels are ok" than any other characters.

Even if it was just a racemixing couple on the streets that would already be subversive.

There is nothing slutty about getting excited over the prospect that someone may have fallen in love with you.

>is the whole Slayers series good?

The most recent ones are clearly a step down from the old ones.

Recently rewatched Paranoia Agent, Riding Bean and Shaman King. Currently rewatching Spess Dandy and Kiniro Mosaic. I liked Shaman King a whole lot when I was a kid, but now that I revisited it, it almost felt like a chore watching it. Meanwhile, Riding Bean gets better every time I watch it, even if I can't really get over the shape of Bean's head. I've felt curious about Gunsmith Cats for the longest time, but for some reason, I can't bring myself to watch it. Would any of you recommend it?

I tried typing out everything I found wrong with this, but it's just too fucking much. This anime disturbed me. I don't know how it gets the praise it does.

I was thinking about giving Konosuba another try because I keep hearing everyone talk about how good it is and yet I hated it the first time I watched it. Maybe I'll like it more this time.

I'm rewatching Sakurasou pet since I haven't watched it since I graduated high school and at the time I really liked it since it told you some people are autistic and don't know how people work and how life can really kick you in the dick.

I couldn't finish that after the scene at the train station where the best girl loses everything. MC was such a fucking faggot. From what I heard about the post-anime story, he just becomes some shut-in pervert.

I've forgotten their names at this point, but that other dude who kept refusing to get in a relationship with the high-energy girl until he changed himself... He had a noble goal of self-improvement. But she was happy with him as he was. He thought "I need to improve for her sake", but it was really about him being a disappointment to himself. I don't know how their story ends, but I can hope that he at least isn't as clueless and gets to the point where he can be happy with himself and accept the girl's love.
