Most males have enough of a self image and sense of pride to not want to go down the street dressed like a girl, so being fine with it in no way typical male trait. If you are in between then neither expression will suit you and you'll dress a bit more spunky than the other girls while more feminine than the boys. PNG is actually preferable in line art since it is more efficient in compressing without artifacts than high quality jpg. However Japs are hella cheap and in general low quality jpg offers a significant data compression advantage over png at the expense of sacrificing quality. If you look at S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s credit page he likely thought he would redraw it himself or have someone assist him. I know that when I am cleaning and redrawing I always start with the hardest looking page just so I can get it over with. He probably openned that up and started layering in his translation and exported it as a png test page along with saving the .psd or .xfc before saying fuck it and not giving a fuck. Shit happens because it is a thankless job people do for free and most scanlators are massive faggots.
