Don't do it. If you must, methods involving dream diaries along with the "wake up at a regular time around 3-4AM and focus your conscious energies on controlling the subsequent dream period" method are the best methods I found into lucid dreaming. There's a lot of bullshit methods that exist, but lucid dreaming does exist.
My advice is to avoid it. There's nothing that can send you into an almost insurmountable level of depression and uselessness as knowing that you can create a better world in your dreams.
