That is a manga that needs an anime since it is ending soon. A perfectly paced 52 episodes is what I'd like if it ever gets a chance.
I hope it follows closer to the first half of season 1 instead of the second half of season 1 which felt weaker than when it started. Off to a good start, even if it's mirroring what they did in the first episode of season 1.

The boomerang thing wasn't a reference as much as showing the matsus have no right to chastisise Iyami for being a freeloader when they're NEETs themselves. Serves as a general warning too about thinking very well your words before telling others.
And that somehow Iyami is even more evil than the sextuplets, going by the ending.
I've been expecting the feelsy episode to arrive given how the writers love to shift the mood out of nowhere, but still got a comfy surprise from the Hatabou skit; I was even expecting a heavier punchline like in ESP Kitty where the whole thing was just a build-up to show everyone really forgot about Karamatsu. That's actually some good writing there for a South-Park-Meets-Gintama-in-Japan show.
