I found the the echo effect used whenever a character had internal monologue to be somewhat excessive. Like to the point that it was actually irritating to hear it for ever single line a chracter thought, even when we could clearly see their face with their mouth closed to show that it wasn't spoken verbally.
It seems that this goes against standard anime production conventions and there were quite a few other aspects of the production that seemed somewhat amateurish. Is it just my imagination or did anyone else notice something to that extent?
On another note I don't really see how this can be compared to Urara aside from the literal aspects of the larger setting, the character interactions and the internal setting are really distinctly removed, especially as Kitan doesn't seem to have any focused comedy and rather just short moments of comic relief. Frankly I find the atmosphere of the show somewhat stifling, but I can understand how someone would enjoy it.

I don't know much about guide dogs but I assume it makes sense for them to be raised by humans from a much younger stage than your average puppy, since they'll have to watch out for a human for the rest of their live. It's common for animals (and even humans, like kids that get raised by wild animals) to see themselves as a member of the species that raised them. That's why he was so shocked when he found out that they aren't his real parents and that he isn't a "real child".
Also, the lier/storyteller girl was truckman's step daughter.
Seems pretty obvious so far that the Inn is set in a world that humans mostly visit in their dreams, save for the ones that actualy seem to live or travel there. It's kind of a quasi-Gensokyo, at least in the "you'll go there when you die"-meme way.
