Any semi-intelligent application of a power that has any sort of effect on objects outside of the power itself could be used to create forces on other objects to wreck Touma safely from a distance and he wouldn't be able to stop it. That only happened because Accelerator was an idiot and got close, and Touma was lucky.
No.737682

>wreck Touma safely from a distance
For all the times Kamachi has written about Touma being able to lose to a simple handgun or knife, you would think someone would have done it by now. Accelerator tried to wipe Touma out with plasma but the sisters got in the way. Didnt accelerator try kicking gravel at Touma but somehow gave up on that too?
No.737683
>>737679
Not true. Throughout the show, it's shown that Touma's powers no only cancel out powers, but will retroactively stop any other effects caused by the powers. In episode one, he blocks a coin accelerated by Railgun. If his hand only worked on the powers themselves, he would have been pretty injured by the coin, assuming it was traveling above terminal velocity. When he fights the Fire Elemental, despite it burning well past the temperature of fucking MAGMA, he was able to punch it without being hurt by the convection that should have melted his arm off by the time it got near. So his hand clearly cancelled the heat of the air caused by the "supernatural incident." By the same logic, if Accelerator chucked an I-beam at Touma, and it touched Touma's hand, it would probably immediately lose all inertia. All of these is banking entirely on good writing, instead of the creator being a dumbass who forgets how physics works though.
Despite all this is doesn't mean Accelerator is weak or that Touma is the strongest. Accelerator is clearly tiers above anyone else, he just happened to go against the only person in Academy City who could possibly beat them.

Its long been noted that the Level system in AC is based on a few measures fighting power associated with the esper ability. Its why Touma is zero even though hes beaten up everything in the universe. There was a scene where Mikoto blew away a swimming pool that somehow measured her power as level 5. Touma's power does not have such a physical manifestation that AC is openly aware of so he is level 0. Uiharu is the same way. Maybe there's an artbook detailing some of the design decisions? Though it could also just be that they wanted to give Kuroko a rival with a lot of similarities.
>Its long been noted that the Level system in AC is based on a few measures fighting power associated with the esper ability. Its why Touma is zero even though hes beaten up everything in the universe.
Wasn't there something about the way they actually test powers and levels being focused on offensive force and support capacity? Touma's Imagine Breaker activating as a passive defensive reaction to contact with the supernatural (be it magic or esper), it strikes me that Touma doesn't register because they wouldn't have been testing him in a way to trigger a reaction to be measured (shady as Academy City is, it probably wouldn't be good if they accidentally killed a student while trying to measure defensive powers and word got out about it).

And then normal gravity would kick in and still crush him
>>Accelerator can block off light
Then how can he see?
There's clearly plenty of ways to kill him, he can only block things he expects or knows even exist. Not even your subconcious can protect you from things it does not know (like a rare poison gas or laser gun in the eye).
No.749845

>Then how can he see?
Selectively blocking certain wavelengths of light, which is only a small part of the EM spectrum. He does the same with sound too and it has happened at least once where he chose to block all sound to keep Last Order quiet.
>rare poison gas
Would have to be undetectable and instant in effect. Once he knows its there he can isolate and remove it.
>laser in the eye
Unlikely to work. He can probably control the amplitude of light waves reaching him and turn those down/up as needed for bright vision and low light vision. A strong laser is harmless to someone with the right laser safety glasses, and in this case his eyes are the safety glasses.

Has a teleporter tried to teleport something into Accelerator? I wonder if that could get past his reflection, since teleportation doesn't have vectors moving towards him, it just appears.

Teleportation is based on movement through the 11th dimension. Movement is/has a vector.
No.749992

>teleportation doesn't have vectors moving towards him
That depends on how you define teleportation. One possible definition is that objects do not simply "appear" but are "moved" from point A to point B in an extremely short time. The method for doing so may be considered as a wormhole where the teleporter shortens the space between points A and B. Somewhere along the way the object may appear to move at speeds near the speed of light. If you take the argument that the teleporter wormholes can be formed by connecting micro black holes, accelerator can prevent a micro black hole from forming within himself which makes him immune to teleportation attacks from inside. Kamachi physics can BS this all together
