Apparently Trigger is doing a Mecha anime with help from A-1.

>70% of the mech animation is hand drawn

>while 30% is CGI from Khara members

>Spring 2018 with two cours

 No.731564

I guess the fact that it's mecha is good because the early promotional stuff had the same pretentious 2deep4u vibe the Kiznaiver promotional material did and I thought we'd see a repeat of that trainwreck.

Still, Trigger hasn't really been doing great work lately. I think partly it's because they're getting ruined by their westabooness but also their anime isn't really holding up technically either. With a few exceptions early on the LWA TV series had pretty bad writing and fairly cheap generic animation. I'm not getting my hopes up for this.

http://www.animatetimes.com/news/details.php?id=1502253579

Some fag translated the interview

>Nishigori had been wanting to do an original since he finished with the Idolmaster movie 2 years ago.

>Nishigori wanted everyone that had worked with him on TTGL, PSG and IMAS so he personally recruited everyone. Nishigori himself went to both Trigger and A1 and suggested the collaboration. Nishigori said that he wouldn't have gone along with the project if he didn't get both studios on board. Masayoshi Tanaka got involved via the A1 producer.

>Originally, Wakabayashi from Trigger was worried because it felt like the methodology of Trigger and A1 conflicted with each other but he felt that such combo would create something interesting.

>A1 is actually letting Trigger handle most of the creative process. Planning, design, concept, content; that is all handled by Trigger. A1 focuses more on making sure the vision gets to the screen.

>Aniplex Producer: Trigger is wild. Nishigori is inexperienced with action so he is letting Imaishi and the guys at Trigger handle that. A1 will make sure that the work delivers solid and consistent animation. Imaishi's crew creates exciting action sequences while Tanaka as Chief Animation Director works on the depiction of the characters.

>The entire work is basically Nishigori's wet dream. Everything about the work is Nishigori.

>The hardest part of the work was the logistics between the collaboration, but they've already sorted that out and have good organization.

>Trigger's culture is heavily driven by "design" that A1 does not have. In Trigger, the design process is probably what takes the most.

>Nishigori was all "if Imaishi doesn't do it we can't do this" and left the action sequences to to Imaishi's imagination. Nishgori wants people to watch the show and realize that nobody other than Imaishi could have done the action scenes.

>They let Imaishi go wild because they want a real feel of contrast with the human drama of the non-action scenes. They have wild action scenes from episode 1.

>There are some episodes fully produced at A1 and episodes fully produced at Trigger, but all the action scenes are storyboarded at Trigger under Imaishi's supervision. Nishigori himself picked which episodes were better suit for Trigger and which were better for A1.

The "fanbase" reached a peak of 3,000.

It means: for every Volume of the Blu-ray released, 3,000 people would buy it, but it never stayed more than a week selling and never breached this barrier, despite "ranking high".

Things like "Eromanga Sensei" Vol I sold 8,000 copies for instance - "Brave Witches" Vol. 5 sold 4,000 copies.

Little Witch was a failure market wise, and that happens all the time with Trigger. That's why they have to do "normal" anime from time to time to stay alive.

In Ruruko? It was just a comedy where everything was played for laughs, including the romance. And where's the socially progressive narrative? Aliens were shown as constantly causing trouble, every antagonists that isn't Luluco's mother is an alien, and there was even fanservice. There was no gayness and no transgender crap. It also went against what feminism promotes, since Luluco's strength came from her devotion to two men in her life: Nova and her father.

 No.772455

So this is scheduled to premier January 13th, I don't have my expectations very high but even if it's bad I hope we get some cool mecha action out of it.

Gonna preface this with an apology and a sage for offtopic, but how the shit was KlK anarchist or LWA commie?

Satsuki was entirely a mirror for a fascist leader and her methods were only called into question as it relates to manipulating her sister. Otherwise she was honorable to a fault and inspired devotion from those around her. Ryuko's methods were never strictly positive only her character.

An LWA wanked traditionalism, was almost Luddite in its approach to magic, one character was an old noble with an unflinching honor, and to say nothing of the Celt symbology used. Also parodying kikeish stock investors with the dragon and making fun of striking workers. Or did you take syndie Akko seriously?
