Fucking this. With her being immortal, she probably also has to cope with the periodic death and replacement of shrine maidens and other mortal humans. Then there's the drama over her leaving Renko behind (probably against her own will). And to top it off, you can't really show any weakness because no-one must know you are secretly pulling the strings and make events fall in place.
Oddly enough, the ending section of this piece - when the vocals slowly begin to blend it - always gives me the image of a hero (or heroine) who is unconscious or dead, and who slowly sinks into a deep body of water. As the darkness of the depths begin to swallow his or her form, the last few seconds with the clearer vocals play, and the ghostly figure of a goddess with a sad smile on her faces appears just under the hero. As the song comes to a finish, she catches the limp body in her arms and holds the hero close to her.
I would be an oddly satisfying end if Reimu ever was to die in battle.
