I've finally started losing some seriously garbage weight I've had on my body for a long time through daily cardio, but my former musclemass in my arms and shoulders is gone and also my libido fell off a fucking cliff and when I do get erect I can tell it isn't as long or as hard as usual, I can't get off to anything even things that normally arouse me. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Has too much cardio made me healthier but lowered my T? How do I get my big biceps and shoulders back?

Gyms have been closed for me for over half a year and I picked up running so that I have some physical exercise to do + it's good for the heart. I can relate to not having raging rock hard erections and im happy that im not the only one seeing this awkward pattern. Extended periods of running and decreased T is in fact scientifically related but it absolutely shouldnt be so significant to the point where you consider putting off this form of exercise. From the reaserch ive done I can conclude that my decreased T is a result of both running and mainly my diet. Social interaction isnt something to be considered because talking to a woman isnt the same as sex altough sometimes it might seem like it. In conclusion I would recommend looking in to your diet and implementing foods and vitamins that may stabilize your T levels because purely running isnt plumetting your T or sex drive.

I have problems like you described, when I don't get enough protein/good food. Less when having extra portion oats in the morning.

I stopped doing more than one long run per week some time ago, mainly because I fell in love with cycling but also because I found sprints, uphill or stairs, to be more effective in building strength. I also feel more "pushed"/"aggressive" afterwards in comparison to the more tranquilizing runners high.

For the upper body - handstand, push-ups, dips, pull-ups.

Rest is really important.

I really love training, like I fuckin love going to the gym and seeing my buddies and pumping iron. I have to make myself take days off, though, because training every day will definitely set you back… you get sore, but more importantly, you get weak.

I have found that only training legs twice a week (one day for bar squats, another day for everything else - various machine presses, etc) actually gives me more gains than an every-other-day approach. Same with upper body. Really the only thing I do every gym session is abs, and that's to keep my back healthy more than anything.

Everybody is different, but for me personally, two days of legs and two days of upper body (big compound movements that hit multiple big muscles) and really giving it your all is much more effective than a half-ass daily workouts.

Rest days can include walks and biking - I usually do my cardio on "rest" days. Just no weights.

tl;dr: rest is just as important (if not more) than training.

I've always heard that your free testosterone should be roughly 2% of your total testosterone however mine is like 26% of my total T. Unfortunately I don't have metrics for my other related hormones as that wasn't part of the test.

To throw away the gifts you have bestowed upon yourself for the epicurean indulgence of today or for the fear of further success is one of the greatest self induced tragedies as mans greatest burden is unfulfilled potential. Done either consciously or unconsciously but more consciously than we'd like to admit.

With your new goals created be lucid of their scope. For when you reach your goal you are on the top of the mountain you yourself created, with no where left to go but down. Some individuals are blessed with the ability to create a new, higher peak to the one they just reached however those people are rare, and it would be foolish to count yourself as one of them. Rather it is best to create a mountain whereby you cannot climb it in your lifetime. Climbing for eternity is preferable to a death before death.

I can respect the notion that one should lift weights for something beyond merely fornicating with women but pursuing glory will most likely fail as you can't really guarantee that those who glorify you today, if any do, will glorify you in the future. Take a moment to consider all of the entertainers like comedians and musicians who were in the limelight and are now in the past. I think it's much more reasonable to lift simply to maximise your health so it doesn't deteriorate whilst you pursue your hobbies, so you can better enjoy your hobbies and also to avoid the fate of being an old person in a retirement home. There's plenty of families that just dump their old parents in a retirement home or at a hospital door (see: "granny dumping") so that dream scenario of the children and grandchildren all gathered around the ailing, dying grandparent whilst he passes into the next life is going to always merely be a work of fiction for the majority of people in the West. It'd be much wiser to, anticipating the undesirable burden you'll impose, maintain a diet and exercise regimen and maintain it into old age.

You'll also set a good example for your children as they learn your lesson about trying to stay out of the retirement home because there's no guarantee that their children will care for you in old age and they'll do the same. I think this is a practise the Non-Christian family should adopt.

In a nutshell, I agree with you that one should set themself a great goal to work towards so that they're always working on something but one shouldn't strive for nor expect glory. If you become glorious, it should be like Elon Musk where your glory is simply because you're pursuing your, albeit greatly expensive in Elon's case, hobbies.

I'm new and I need motivation and advise because I want to protect my cousin. I'm very lazy and border line neet sometimes but I need to do something. One day I was fucking around and an alt social media account testing my cousins thottery she passed but months later I tested again and to my horror my 14 year cousin fucking sold me nudes. my heart dropped when she said she started this while ago. I checked the metadata and it match her other posts. she does this because she ran away from her dad when he started being weird after her mom died. I'm not that much older in the grand scheme of things but my mom has a house I can fix up and live at and maybe shelter her. I'm paranoid cause I watch a documentary on 14-year-old girl getting pick up for prostitution.

please how do I increase my motivation and will power I need to fix myself to help her. how do I mold myself into the person I want to be?

Isolate your electronics and stuff that would let you become lazy. When the human mind has the choice of doing something easy then you will most likely do it. So put your electronics away where you can not get to them. Take a day off for dopamine purge. It is literally a day you have no electronics and do something else to break the short cycles of dopamine causes by porn, the internet, and drugs. Even just laying around the day doing nothing is alright so long as there is 0 electronics for a whole day. After that if you want to go to a gym don't think about going and working out. The 80/20 rule works here by telling your monkey brain that you aren't going doing a lot of things. You male yourself go by doing the least amount of work. So if you keep thinking "Imma go to the gym and pump iron, do this much, do that much" so on and so forth you won't last. Just tell your brain that you are just gonna drive there. Because once you are there you your only option Is to work out or drive back home. So your brain doing simple math says "fuck it. Let's work out."

Other than that meditation, stosism, and learning a combat sport will help you boost your discipline and motivation.

On a side note have your cousin spend more time with you. If you can make her stay at your house for longer and longer then that means less time she has to spend with her father. If that's not possible then at least talk and keep her mental health up and maybe help her gather evidence to accuse him. Hope that helps.

Hey /fit/ my mother has stage 4 chronic kidney disease with a GFR of 19, and it’s slowly getting worse. This is from a misdiagnosis by her previous doctor who put her on pre diabetes medicine which destroyed her kidneys. She wasn’t close to being diabetic. Currently she’s right on the border of being put on dialysis & the transplant list. Her GFR needs to be at 15 for that.

I’ve been thinking that maybe BPC-157 (sub Q & oral), TB500, HGH, and female HRT, as she is post menopausal, may help to stop her kidney degradation, or even start to reverse it. Would these compounds be beneficial at all in helping her regain kidney function? From what I’ve researched so far and in my unprofessional opinion these compounds at worst will do nothing and not harm the kidneys and at best may increase her GFR.

Also, is there anything similar that would help her regain kidney function?

I’m not expecting a miracle but hopeful that her kidneys will heal some. Her doctor right now pretty much refuses to write her a prescription for anything, and told her she’s fucked as there’s nothing to be done in her opinion. I’m taking it upon myself to do what I can to try to help.

Lastly, I’m not asking for your sympathy nor do I want it.

Thanks anon I really appreciate it. I just remembered that there’s apple cider vinegar in the fridge but I don’t recall seeing her have any recently. I’ll make sure she starts with that today.

I did have her purchase a kidney peptide complex called A-9 pielotax over the weekend, and it should be here by Thursday. Truthfully this peptide complex is a Hail Mary in the fucking dark. There’s not a whole lot of info about what it is exactly except that it’s manufactured at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology & that it’s supposed to be beneficial for kidneys. As far as the compounds I’ve mentioned I’ve yet to get her started on them. Thankfully she’s open to trying them but wants to introduce each compound one at a time so it might take a few months for her to use them all.

Additionally, in my research I did come across some more not so well know peptides that could help. Namely - Epitalon, Thymalin, GHK-Cu, Vilon, FOXO4-DRI, Humanin, and MOTS-c.

I kinda know what you're going through because my father passed away recently and his condition got that bad partially because of misdiagnosis.

But please man, we're both not medical professionals. Don't just hook your mother up on some medications because it might just be the case you missed some detail or that some of these require other checkups before giving the greenlight. The human body is too complex one would think it is beyond physician's understanding. Let alone a bunch of online shitposters.

If your doctor will not discuss this whatsoever, get another doctor's opinion, and a third opinion.

Hope your mother does alright, I haven't posted here in years but I just wanted to write this.

from experience, this took me decades to

look back on,

maybe 1999 I was training, no days off,

I w in th hospital for a week, I gained 2 lbs,

maybe 3 or 4 yo ago I looked back on those

2 lbs,

seperately, about 96 I switched from regular

bb training then went to power straining,

a 3 days routine, squats 5X5 to absolute

max, dead lifts 5X5, incline Bench 5X5,

my quality absolutley exploded,

now upon that about 4-5 yo maybe less,

btw, I'm exhausted from drama in my life ok,

now, train BB for 2 weeks take 2 days off

I'd get about 2lb, not pure quality but I

did this for a few months, shake up days

off, 2 days after a week, 2 days after 2 weeks

training, not pure quality but I bumped by

about 20lbs,

now, I'd say this, BB for a month but w th shake

up of 2 days rest after a week training, shake it

w 2 days rest after 2 weeks, th days rest to shock,

like I said, in my lazy time w th rest days I

gained about 20lb but yea not pure quality but

this is still useful,

plus this, one month BB training, then th next month

pure power training, squat one day, deadlift th 2nd

then incline bench & still inject those days off like

th first BB month,

my experience w th quality bounce w I did pure

power training in 96, plus that 2lb when I w in

th hospital w a week off, plus that 20 lb gain
