according to my book, everything going on with matter is a result of will, so you deciding to take a cup of water and drink it and actually doing it is fundamentally same as applying your will in some way considered "supernatural", like healing people with your hands

so, magnets work on laws oh physics and laws of physics as anything else matherial were made and can be further shaped by spirits powerful enough

there is also a topic of quantum uncertainty, that book was written before science considered it but the book says the elemental particles of our world each have a spirit behind them, those being beyond current understanding of humans, other entities and even mighty gods/demons of our planet and even beyond the might of planetary demon and planetary Logos
