Albiet there are other things involved in such an action such as Rituals, Ceremonies, Confessions, Sacrifices, and yada yada.

There's 3 ways to rid one of a demon that i can recall off top of my head - applying only to those of Ahriman/Lucifer/Satan.

1. Your soul being strong enough to be able to force the demon out - demons mainly seek 2 things once it gets to the opposite side of a master-thrall relationship. To cause catastrophy in the ex-master/preys life, and to whittle down the spirit until it is suitable to become enthralled/absorbed so the demon may possess the host. Its sort of Ad-Nauseum in a sense because with a physical body the demon will seek more souls, stronger souls… Very few people can just 'will' themselves to such a strength to combat this or to enthrall a demon, and trying may even cause your situation to worsen and bring you harm!

2: Seek a Soul/God stronger than your demon and strike a bargain. Even in Judeo-Christianity One strikes a bargain with YHWH - You pledge service and soul for deliverence from sin & evil. One may think this lightly or in a sort of 'Indian giving' way - but boy let me tell you… Faith is the ultimate lie detector test. If your resolve and faith shakes more than slightly in your chosen protective diety your efforts were fruitless. Knowledge, wisdom, experience means nothing in the realm of faith - its something that you must feel. And you cannot force yourself to feel a certain way, unless youre a complete mental case. But as is Anu to Ahriman the light commands the dark, and it can be your saving grace… But be careful for what you wish for.

3. Strike a bargain with the antagonistic spirit. This is a last ditch effort to save yourself. Find something the demon craves or a more suitable prey and assist him, the demon may reneg - but as I said this is a sort of a last stand tactic. Just be prepared for inforgivable, soul tainting consequences.
