I noticed there's interest in the John Titor story here so this is a thread for that and other time travel or similar stories.

File: d05ef777d7bf671⋯.jpg (17.96 KB, 416x316, 104:79, 1474056394994.jpg)

Titor's original mission was to meet a certain person in 1975 worldline and to get an IBM 5100 and tweak it for the purpose of translating legacy code. It was supposedly needed to get a number of systems working which still relied on old code. Titor noted that it was worthwhile for a time traveller to be able to do this code translation and that this specific model of computer was needed to do it to the best of their knowledge in 2036.

Titor gave pretty detailed descriptions of the time machine, listing the main components that it was made of and how it worked. Titor wasn't a scientist or an engineer, but knew enough to operate it.

 No.39868

Titor first posted online in 2000 and disappeared some months before the 2001 september 11 incident. Titor mentioned missing buildings in new york in a letter which Art Bell read on coast to coast am at some point. This and other events made the postings more interesting.

Here's a screencap of one of the postings on the Art Bell forum, which went down and is no longer to be found online except maybe with a thing like the wayback machine.

Thanks to the anon here we have the postings from the Art Bell forum in pdf format

Micro black holes are indeed being discussed at cern, with some even stating that micro black holes could be stable and safe.

Titor moved the device around in a corvette which later got switched out for a truck. Titor's instructor had sat in the corvette with a lit cigar and a laser pointer which showed how the field from the micro singularities affected the beam of light from the laser pointer, prior to Titor going on the mission.

Titor said the photos got scanned with a 2000 era scanner to get them into compatible digital format to post them online.

Here's a Titor uniform patch, I'm not sure if it's real or where it's from, it may have been altered but the part in the center looks pretty authentic to me.

There was also another site which Titor may have posted on called the time travel institute, but that site has also gone down. That site also had some interesting material related to time travel, real or not, it makes for a good read.

On a related note, there might be places or conditions in nature which have naturally occurring gateways to other timelines or realms I've read theories about that before

The gateways or portals might be "invisible, unstable and elusive" like it says on this page; https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/sunearth/news/mag-portals.html

Time travel to the past is possible, but it's a one way trip unless that time period has also developed it's own time machines or cryogenics. Scientists in the future are instead able to actively look at and view the past without direct interaction utilizing trace fabric of space-time dimensions. There's absolutely no reason to travel back in time in comparison, it's riskier, costlier, and -ironically- more time consuming and that's only when it comes down to running the machines. Scientists/Historians are able to learn much more efficiently about the past by simply peering in on past events than actually having to visit them, it also ensures past events can't be tampered with, even by accident.

John Titor's "story" is an elaborate hoax and it's obvious based off the causalities given and conflicting information. I personally don't buy into it. It's easy to be vague enough to avoid being wrong yet specific enough to appear right. 2036 is also way too early to assume time travel would be available, but I'd say it's reasonable to assume it would be a couple hundred years away. You'd need to think of other discoveries that would need to be made within that time frame before time travel could happen, like molecular teleportation, controlled space-time distortion, wormholes, etc. I think there's a greater chance of colonizing Mars and finding intelligent life beyond Earth before time travel is a reality.

the double slit experiment proves that just by observing an event, or anything or nothing at all that it completely changes the outcome. time viewing scientists are changing the past by just looking at it.

If we remove some pretty accurate parts he talked the same as the few christians in /pol/ says, for me its basically a guy that have a Bible with lots of free time, fun fact, he missed some points, but is "another reality".

>>39873

Thats explain why both chilean and argentinian governments dumped their rights and bases in Antartica, but any goy with a bit of knowledge about plan andinia knowed the future when Titor was in his dad's balls.

>>40210

Of course its an hoax, you cant talk about geopolitics without being called antisemitic. In some points he isnt vague, but those are the points he missed… btw, according to our minds time travel its impossible, maybe time go in both ways, but we are capable of just sense one.

Most "ocultists" have allergy against christianity and are PC as american media, this is why you cant find anything about that, but the weirdest part is that the catholic church banned its use after that happened.

There is a concept call quantum immortality. At every moment there is a possibility of death, and since that path is not taken, you have followed the path that thus far has guaranteed non-death. Your observation of reality in the many worlds hypothesis guarantees that you will continue to observe reality, and therefore immortality.

I guess the concept could be applied to our collected reality. That even though there are realities that end, for our observation to continue, it must produce an non-ending reality. We are in a timeline that must continue.

ive seen something bend a laser very similar to this. Very very high quality completely transparant aerogel. One of dads friends who worked for the DoE gave me a small brick of it. Didnt think anything of it at the time. curve was less pronounced because brick was kinda small

Since it is 2018 is there a chance that John Titor exists as a younger version as himself and that we will not be able to find him until 2036?
