I don't think its about scam or not scam - there can be levels of truth, for instance. that's why we're reading about Strauss' hermeneutics first. you should join us. we'd love to have these sorts of questions raised in #magick!!!

PS. also, no I think you're wrong. I have it on good measure that these are primo sources, and if nothing else these sorts of ideas were very prevalent among many free thinkers, "true" or not. Learning this will help you to interpret Renaissance Art, for instance, or the works of CG Jung.

I did, the problem is that you dont know if the author is taking symbols seriously or not and with what purpose, thats ok for "ancient art" interpretation, basically all psychopaths always read all the books about symbols and we are talking about people that (groups obviously) pay for "zero hour symbols", you cant use psychological tests on somebody that already know the tests, now imagine using it on somebody that created the test, also check weird archaelogical discoveries (sorry, but /pol/ has golden material about that, the problem is that is slided fast as fuck) there you can get real symbols or even better, things used in their cults and i am not only talking about "symbols" like the star of remphan, i am talking about things used in cults, like objects used to kill in sacrifices (loork for the pics found by turkish police). Its a well knowed for all thing (even africans know about sirius) all the shit about "masons", catholics used the same dates, the problem, the real dark things came from things related to sacrifices, 666 (geometry and "hard numbers") and, for some weird reason, the pole of saturn (knowing sirius is one thing, but knowing something that needs space travel…) and you can always check all the amount of effort censoring the Bible, sorry for triggering antichristians and fedoras, but not even "final judgment" got so many bans.
