hey /x/

So, my dad works at Latin America's biggest asylum. The place is truly fucked up, haunted like no tomorrow, the amount of unexplainable shit my dad or many of the employees there have seen is simply crazy. I know at least 3 doctors who, before starting to work there, were extremely rational, serious and highly intelligent full blown atheists, and then turning into complete believers in the paranormal and becoming deeply religious after a period of 2 years or so working at the institution. Pretty much just by walking into the place you can already feel the heavy and negative energy the place has, and that there's clearly something off in the evironment.

Some days ago, my dad was on a 24 hour medical shift there. He was on the first floor at the nursery sector, inside a small administrative room, accompanied by the nursery assistant, it was 2 or so in the morning, when suddenly they saw a small ball of light, slightly smaller than a human head, float by the door, got very weirded out by it, took a peak at the corridor from the door and saw it floating throught the corridor all the way to the end of it, and then coming back.

They got scared shitless, closed and locked the door, and called the guy at the security camera surveillance central to check their corridor and start recording whatever was going on in there.

And this is what was recorded (not sure if there is more material, I need to find out, but so far this is what has reached into my hands).

Do you guys have any idea what the fuck this thing may be? could it be some prank by someone, or is this maybe some legit paranormal stuff?

Here's the rest. As you can see, it is clearly a 3D object, and has a rather fluid movement, like an amoeba.

btw at the very ending of the video there's a small cut, because it took a little while to show up again but it then only shows up very briefly at the corner of the camera. Just mentioning it before anyone starts suspecting anything like why was there a cut and stuff like that.

This sounds like Ball Lightning.

Except that it moves a bit weird.

Indeed an interesting and plausible possibility, thanks for pointing it out.

But the way it moves and the way it keeps hovering for long periods of time make me feel its probably something else.

Whatever it is, it doesn't seem intelligent. The people who have the technical skills to do something like this don't waste their time with pranks (look at popular prank videos on Youtube). What happened after these videos were recorded? Where did the object go, what did it do? Did it seem 'interested' or perhaps a better word would be 'attracted' to something in particular?

Im not entirely sure tbh, Im still after more and better information about this whole thing, but according to my dad, the cameras guy said the ball slowly flew a few seconds more through the corridor, got a bit smaller in size and disappeared in a dark corner. Simply went out like a candle in the wind. No sound, no traces, nothing.

This happened a few secs after you can see for a brief moment a glimpse of the ball moving towards the other side of the corridor in the corner of the camera in the second webm. The ball then was in another camera's view, which the dumbass surveillant forgot to start recording, but saw what I said up there.

Im not sure If he was attracted to something, but what I do know is that the room he kept hovering in front of on the videos had a lot of agonizing patients in really bad health conditions (once again, this happened in the nursery sector).

Really don't know if that could be related or not, but it's pretty weird nonetheless.

What country, anon? I'm from the north of Argentina, and creatures like these(strange spheres of light that hover around and follow people) are part of the regional culture. The myth describes these creatures as the manifestation of the soul of a person that didn't recieve a christian sepulture.

Anyways, I've read a greentext story here in /x/ (pic related) about a guy and his girlfriend being visited by floating light spheres, and the different anons theorized about what it could be;

>will o wisps, they love to lead people to their deaths

>[…] they appear to people who are dying […] They appear inviting because they lead you to the eternal peace that will envelope you soon.[…]

Interesting thread, anon.

After reading the greentext from >>40187

…OP, are you ok?

North of Mexico here, same myth here, also heard from places like Venezuela and Colombia the same thing.

The stories around here do have a twist, because it's also associated with gold or "treasure" buried around. People would see these balls, follow them if they are tough, and when those things hide in a hole or a corner, usually folks would dig into that place and find either coins, metal pieces or most usually, the bones of someone not given proper burial.

My family did have a friend who saw a kid all the time in the bedroom, and a light ball outside, so the guy went bonkers and one day followed the ball angry, and went down a corner of his room. Dude then digged a hole like a hobo and weeks later found a kid's bones. He gave them proper burial but he did say many people still see the kid around his house (my uncle did), but not him anymore.

Saying says if the lights follow you, they want something. Also associated with people peeking from the windows of abandoned houses and "animas"
