Craziest: the earth is hollow, or at least there are huge caverns inside, and there are whole civilisations living underground. Probably a lot of 'monsters' too. Faeries and elves used to be called the 'subterraneans' because it was believed that they lived inside the earth. A lot of stories about UFOs, dragons, dragon-people, trolls and other strange creatures, take place near caves. I don't think it's a coincidence. There are even myths and stories about people travelling to the inner earth, though I'm not sure how reliable they are. But I'm pretty sure that there's another world beneath our feet.

Edgiest: I believe most people, the vast majority of people, are no better than chimpanzees. They can't be truly considered human beings with all that that implies. The qualities that we regard as typical of human beings are actually exceptional. Psychic and supernatural phenomenon are real, but there is a grand conspiracy to prevent people from witnessing it or accessing it. The ancient world over has talks of magic, monsters or cryptoids of some kind, people with grand powers, but all of a sudden it stops. Anyone who claims to have witnessed anything out of the ordinary gets immediately written off as tired or insane, the same thing happens to "conspiracy theorists". Write people off, tell them theyre crazy, maybe they will be shamed into shutting up about it.

It's called the scientific revolution, and it didn't happen all of a sudden. Have you ever heard of humanism? Philosophical scepticism? The age of enlightenment? Rationalism? The 19th century positivist cult of science? For centuries, people have fought against what they considered superstition and the dangers of blind belief. We didn't suddenly go from a society where everyone believed in fairies and ghosts to one where you're considered crazy for talking about them. It's not a conspiracy, it's a never-ending war between different sets of beliefs.
