We don't even know what ghosts and spirits are. We don't know what the universe actually is. It might surprise you to know that the big bang theory is not accepted by all scientists. So maybe there was never a beginning… then how can there be an end?

You're experiencing randomness. The causal chain of events we currently experience obscures the chaotic nature of reality. Though we see a chain of events now and reasons for many things, focusing on that alone fails to reveal that the specific thread of causation that permeates time is completely arbitrary. Any other finite or infinite set of states could have been fated, but this one is what's happening.

Brahmanda (Cosmic Egg) Universe - The Rigveda, written in India around 3000 B.C at the start of Kali-yuga., describes a cyclical or oscillating universe in which a “cosmic egg”, or Brahmanda, containing the whole universe including the Sun, Moon, planets and all of space expands out of a single concentrated point called a Bindu before eventually collapsing again. Each universe cycles infinitely between expansion and total collapse, similar to the science fiction 'time loop'. The Rigveda also mentions there are countless other universes, similar to the multiverse theory. Any beings able to move between universes are able to escape the collapse of one, by migrating to another. Those not able are re-absorbed into their primordial state within the 'cosmic egg', to await the next 'big bang'.
