what is satanism actually about and how does it differ from other religions? what does satanism have to offer? any good text-only reading links that are free?

Satanists think Lucifer is the true God because he gave us the free will when we ate from the tree of life, and God is the bad guy who punished us because we disobeyed him, thats all, sounds nice, but its some low tier bait, only mental retards fall for that shit, period

same anon here. I asked this because no satan worshipper ever stepped up and actually told their side of the story. Lots of people step up to my thread and say "you got this wrong!" usually buddhists and I ask them, "okay show me what I got wrong and show me what is right!" and then never reply, probably because they can't find the right words to say or maybe they just wanted to scream "YOUR WRONG!" without having anything to back it up. I would actually like people to try and prove me wrong or show me the "right" way if I'm getting something wrong, but so far very few have really helped. Thanks to those who do, of course. I'm actually trying to learn and improve.

there are basically three kinds of satanists

>1. LaVeyan Satanists (Atheistic Satanists)

Basically those who follow the teachings of Anton LaVey and the church of Satan. The Church of Satan basically teaches that God is a delusion created by our minds and that Satan is basically you breaking free from that and not being an asshole in the process. So in some weird sense, it can be said that LaVeyan Satanist is an atheistic religion.

>2. Gnostic Satanists

Those who believe that God is the Demiurge and that breaking free from the physical world is basically going in the path of the light (Lux Fero, Lucifer). There is a weird blurry line here between Lucifer and whoever brings free-will in Gnosticism. But then again there are so many branches of Gnosticism that you can't exactly pinpoint an exact narrative.

>3. Theist Satanists

Those who ACTUALLY believe in Satan and follow ancient texts as basis of their beliefs, they are very few (mainly because there were no declared satanists before LaVey because of the inquisition). Their texts are occult and their rituals are unknown, but they do exist. Some relate them with secret organizations.

Thats the thing, we cant really prove they exist because we have no idea what they are. Actual legit satanism has no written records for very obvious reasons, but it would be unwise for us to consider nothing has been produced after all this time.

I think whats referred in the apocalypse are none of those. I believe (these are not facts, this is only my opinion) "true", theistic satanists created this "new religion" (which in parts I believe follows some tenets from the religion described by that guy who leaked operation blue beam), which basically features man as the center of the existence, which is basically gnostic satanism (and highly selfish). LaVeyan Satanism actually preaches quite the opposite of that, once faced with the alleged non-existence of God, the only goal is the advancement of men and societies (basically: dont be an asshole).

satan isn't a name, it's a title, and it means 'adversary' or 'enemy'. if you truly look up to someone, why would you call him 'enemy', a title which was given to him by the one you claim to oppose (yahweh)? why would you call him 'beelzebub', a title which translates to 'lord of feces' or 'lord of the flies' (bub and bob meant feces and flies, respectively, and were often confused)? if you honor someone, why do believe every evil thing said about him while disbelieving every true thing said about him?

this and a multitude of other reasons are why it's hard to take these types seriously. they go on and on about that kike anton levi (later changed his name to lavey), but when you ask them about manser al-hallaj they give you a blank stare.

these types of folks give themselves screennames like 'azazel' while simultaneously shitting all over everything that azazel stood for. he didn't give up eternal life in heaven, fight against an enemy he knew he probably couldn't beat, and suffer countless torments, to give us fire, writing, mathematics, crafting, hope in a better world beyond yahweh's slavery, only to have folks come along later, pay honor to him with their lips, while with their deeds they help to dismantle the very civilization he helped create?

I know, but we always have to remember that there does exist an inevitable huge overlap between /fringe/ and /pol/ and /x/ and /rel/ and so on and so on because of how deep into the occult and spooky stuff a whole lot of the people involved on every side of politics are. politics isn't just politics, it's also history, and history isn't only history, it's also magic, occult, very deep spooky stuff then isn't simply just occult, but also has very deep ties into religion and spirituality. it's all very very connected and to Ignore that would be to ignore the concept of even ignorance itself.
