What is the general opinion on God Eater 3 and Code Vein (same developer, relatively close release dates to each other)?
I barely can find information how bad are they around the net. Worth spending shekels? I liked customization from trailers.

I pirated GE3. God Eater 3 has dual audio, which is great. Japanese all the way, though sometimes I switch over to english during farming just for the heck of it. It's nice to have the quest girl welcome you back after each mission. The characters I met so far seems ok, I like the dual edge weapon, and you get a daughteru at some point in the game that follows you around the base and copies the emotes you do. You can also bring her into battle. Some people have said it's shorter than the other two games. There are these challange missions called license missions. Ranks can be completed with AIs or friends, but licences have to be completed alone. Very challanging. I kinda miss the multiplayer aspect at times, as some extra missions are very challanging, and farming them requires good players. It's fine, if cheezy. If you played GEBurst Rage or GE 2, and liked them, you'll probably like this game.

Isn't that coming out sometime around September? I'm really excited for it! I'v enever played a Dark Souls-type game because I am not an easily INFLUENCED small child, but this one looks right up my alley. The character customizer looks very promising and I can't wait to spend over an hour making a really cute girl.

Really like God Eater 3
Plays much smoother and faster compared to God Eater 2 or 1
Its compared to earlier games much, much shorter and is lacking in aragami variations too, but is still getting updates with new missions and more story, aswell as new weapons, aragamis and new cosmetic items (last update added like 10 more more story missions and time trial missions)
Personally dont like the Biting Edge (twin dagger/spear) but the crescent moon is pretty awesome and the weapons upgrade paths got more simplified, same with weapon effects from abandoned god arcs , which are pretty much got gutted in terms of available effects
If you have not played any God Eater games I recommend pirating Rage Burst first and if you like it then pirate GE3

I find it strange how Susanoo never got an ash form. You'd think that an Aragami with god arcs built into its body and the fact that it's made out of god eaters would at least be in the game let alone get an ability that would allow it to emulate burst. The one major flaw with this series the lack of enemy variation.

It's not a good game. It has a tendency for a lot of shit to just flat out not matter. And the dev has a strong boner for doing a better second release of the game with more content. They also completely butchered ranged attacks from the first two games which is rough.
Aside from that it has a lot of issues, story fights that just seemingly go nowhere and have you fight the same monster over and over again. A ton of useless weapon paths, and a lot of other just minor annoyances that make it not as good as 1 or 2. And those games had other issues.

GE is insultingly easy and vapid, I couldn't play any of them for more than 10 minutes because there there are a million better games to play for a pirate and I kept trying because I was like "how the fuck is this getting sequels?" but no, it's just shit. I'm sure someone will say it gets mildly challenging 100 hours in but goddamn fuck that just play MHGU. Or play Soul Sacrifice if you have a Vita, it's great.
Code Vein didn't hold my attention until the end of the demo, but it's leagues better. That still isn't really isn't saying much and I have a feeling it'll be the worst Soulslike.

That stuff probably gets fixed before release. I don't want to use the I-ITS A BETA excuse, but load times are generally something to not worry about from early looks. Worst case they will patch it later, like what happened with Bloodborne. As for Denuvo, it depends on the game I think for performance impacts. I could well be wrong, but not every Denuvo game is trash for FPS, cracked or not.

GE3 is ok, I like to play it if I need something I want to play in short bursts and it's very fast-paced especially compared to MH. Even the dreaded Ash Aragami take like 5min tops to defeat them.
But compared to even the most basic MH it has way too few monsters, not as many weapons and outfits have no effect if you change it, only the weapons and passive abilities you can give yourself.
At least you get a variety of weapons and techniques you can use, and hitting Aragamis just feals satisfying.
Also the AI-partners are very competent, so it's also good for solo-play even for endgame content, which I like.

Dunno about God Eater, but I'm eagerly awaiting Code Vein. When FromSoft said they weren't going to make another Souls game, I thought it was all over. But thankfully the same company that helped them make and published the Souls games decided "hey, we can probably make one too!" And unlike Bloodborne, this one actually started as and kept being a vampire game.
