Nine is actually very decent. Lots of people tend to dislike the animation in ero scenes because it is janky looking (personally I think Maitetsu is one of the worst offenders for this despite the wonderful art of Cura, half the scenes have broken animations that look like shit) but some are done alright. Tsumino used to have a download button native to the site but about a year ago, they announced a maintenance period to prepare for something big. During this period, the download button would be temporarily removed. The admins were planning on implementing Hentai video on the site, a feature no one asked for. This dragged on for months and we're currently still without either features fully implemented (I think you can go to a beta section for videos but it hasn't been touched since december). Admins have also stopped responding to threads with this topic a few months ago.

Tsumino was also great because it had Fakku doujins readily available whilst other sites didn't. As far as I know some or all of those have also been removed.

There might also be ads where there didn't used to be ones but I'm not turning off my scriptblockers, etc. to find out.

Site-traffic has really slowed down so I think we won't see a major resurgence.

I played Tsujidou Road which was just a dumb moege disguised as a Majikoi clone or somesuch. Grisaia part 3, which was as bad as part 2; part 1 was pretty decent though. Eden, was kinda meh. Chrono Clock which was another shit moege. Bunny Black which was garbage in every aspect except for delicious brown elf. Evenicle, which as another anon put it was a "collection of characters with factory pre-set personalities"; on top of that the gameplay was boring and the porn not that great mostly because I dislike the "I can ejaculate 10L of cum every 10 minutes for 16 hours straight" type of H scenes. Bishoujo Mangekyou which could've been ok if the scenes weren't just the loli vampire going from "filthy human, don't touch me" to "OH GOD GIVE ME DICK I LOVE DICK DICK IS GOOD" the moment the MC put the tip in. Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai, which was borderline moege, but it had enough character development and story to not be considered moege: was still kind of boring overall, but I liked the after stories.

Four Rythm might be interesting. Still wanting on the Sengoku Rance retranslation, I'm getting the itch to replay the game.

I feel like the art style on the right side lacks the style that the original writers were going for, and instead just has this very generic style. Rather than the "homely" or originality of the left. That's just how I feel about it. The right screams generic. Where on the left you can clearly the see the girl has been in the hospital sometime. Her shoulders are slack, and book is loose in her lap and he face has a tired smile on it. The right image feels generic, I 100% did not have the same feelings from it as I did the left.

I would like to state the remake was made 5 years after the original in 2004. It is called 加奈～おかえり～(kana okaeri) to which even if you look it up its hard to find anything related to it save for the amazon page. When ever I see any related material to Kana Imouto (forums futabachan, 2ch, here) I always see the original, which might possibly speak about the remake's success. It also just occurred to me that I don't think okaeri was even translated, so I don't even know why I brought it up.

Just finished CLANNAD for the first time. Let me display my thoughts here.

Overall it was a superb game, I’ll hold off on rating it for later. The characters were all very strong, and I think thats quite a rare thing, or at the very least, not typical. Even the supporting characters were thoughtfully written and they really have their own kind of personality which stands on its own yet manages not to seem one-dimension (e.g. a strictly tsundere character or the token kuudere)

Some routes were expectedly better than others but some felt very rushed just at the end, like a million things happen all at once and you’re kinda left dazed and confused on what happened or what follows. I will say that Nagisa’s was probably the most fulfilling - and rightly so, she was obviously the main heroine here - but surprisingly I think I liked Sunohara’s route the most (outside of After Story, of course) and let me clarify that I am not gay, nor do I dislike any of the heroines, it’s just that Sunohara’s route doesn’t allow for any girls (besides his sister I suppose). I really liked how they went into their friendship more and you could tell they really relied on each other, making their school life bearable. You wouldn’t think as such considering how much one-sided banter goes on but it’s refreshing to know that tomoya cares for sunohara as much as the vice versa. And of course I liked how the old teacher had his own role in getting the two together. He pretty much lets the kids push him around but they do so with good intentions so i cant really hate them for it. I might be biased on that one since I had a really cool teacher back in 6th grade who I adored, he really was just a great teacher and a good man.

I won’t go into any other individual route but I’ll rank them and hope that suffices:

Sunohara < Nagisa < Kotomi < Kyou/Ryou < Fuko < Tomoyo < Yukine

Not counting Koumura/Akio/Misae/Kappei’s routes here. Yukine’s is last only because the route as a whole felt rushed to me, and I wasn’t sure if the love she felt for Tomoya was brother-surrogate love or actual romantic love. And the ending for that route was simply out of nowhere and felt uncharacteristic of Tomoya considering who was surrounding him at the time.

The after story, I won’t touch on so as to avoid spoilers, but I will say that the Non-true end had me sobbing. I liked that he finally got to reconcile with his dad and there was also everything that happened with Sanae and others, really heartwarming and heart wrenching

I would have liked to see a bit more interaction between all three (you know who I am referring to) in the true end but I’ll take it.

Overall, 9/10 visual novel. Probably one of the best I’ve played so far but I am not much of a critic so don’t expect me to pick my favorite so easily.

You were making a great post until you placed the twins and shuriken in front of Tomoyo. I do agree that Sunohara is one of the better parts of the VN. The reason for this, and why so many VNs that deal with romance tend to be poor stories, is due to the fact that those stories tend to completely remove any male influence from the guy's life once the romance kicks in. Note that I used influence as oppose to presence. It feels as wrong as having a 3DPD force her boyfriend to stop seeing his friends. That's why having Sunohara, Akio, and later on Yuusuke still being part of Tomoya's life improves the story. It's the same thing with Little Busters and Majikoi: the guys don't just vanish the moment the MC gets his dick wet. It lends credibility to the story, it makes the relationships more believable.

The scale goes from Nagisa to Kotomi and then everyone else. The answer is 0. In fact, it's super rare to find any VN with fit or muscular women, let alone good ones. The only VN I can think of with muscle girls is The Guts, and it's fucking awful. The girls are massive, /d/ tier walls of muscle, they have abrasive, annoying personalities, and it's full of femdom shit. I've given up hope of ever seeing a VN where the girls look like they were designed by Bang You or Real 23.

It depends on how interested in the lore you are. Some of the lore is kinda interesting since it's like they took a regular JRPG and rewrote it to be the great hentai rape war.

Some stuff about the war is interesting since once you read some of the specifics you realize the women weren't even in charge of the countries Vult was bitching about. The men are the ones running the show aside from the halflings, dark elves, and Kaguya in Thorn. Halflings and Dark Elves are all female races and it makes sense they would have female rulers as a result. Kaguya was a religious leader. He just hated women and the women in his universe were all really nice and did absolutely nothing wrong. Chloe and Olga especially did nothing wrong.

Maia was just a solo merc and had no troops under her command (wasn't even part of the organized defense or anything) and despite that helped guide a good number of the civilians out of the city and took on Vult 1 vs 1 after fighting a good number of his troops solo and knowing she was likely gonna lose. Also had a genuine dark plot like the dark elves had.

The writing can be really bad - at one point they try to expand on the lore with Vult lecturing Olga about how Dark Elves are not loyal like Humans are. Note this was post revolution where the humans betrayed everyone everywhere. In general the men are all annoying whiny cunts who don't know when to shut up and you will wish they lost the war.

A bunch of the battle plans shouldn't have worked at all and the Alliance should have won most of these battles. The halfling one was particularly horrendous since it relied on gas vials attached to arrows to knockout thousands of halfling in the fortress city by firing over a single wall whilst being shot at by halfling archers. Pretty much all of Vult's strats are Hollywood meme strats that shouldn't actually work if you know anything about defending fortresses in a siege situation. The Alliance actually should have won quite easily and most of the strategies they had weren't even bad considering the situation and complete lack of armor on Vult's side. Also the logistics are lulzy since the more the find out about the Alliance and the Black Dogs the stupider the whole thing gets. Some of those fortress cities had like 3 walls, a keep and a moat. Alliance had to have something like 5 million or so people just to build, man, and supply them all and the Black Dogs for the most part had even less armor than the women soldiers of the Alliance. The Alliance had male knights that were fully armored with chainmail and platemail too along with siege weapons like cannons, ballistae, & catapults for fighting the larger monsters. Heavy use of archers too which should have done massive damage to Vult's semi naked band of idiots. Basically in order for Vult to win he had to genocide a heavily armed civilian population that would have been used to fighting siege battles after 150 years of it across multiple heavily fortified positions with a merc group that was poorly outfitted and likely had less than ten thousand soldiers initially at the start of the conflict. Only three of those soldiers were apparently even capable of reading and writing. It used to be four but Maia left.
