They've certainly made a few consumer friendly moves with capabilities like Xbox Play Anywhere for their first party titles (and some third party) since late 2016. With the confirmation from Phil Spencer that wants all four generations of Xbox games playable on Xbox Scarlett, we can expect some form of backwards compatibility so we can play our older games on the new console. And Xbox Game Pass has been an experiment that's gaining some traction, expanding its reach a little bit with the newly launched Xbox Game Pass for PC. They've also rebranded their first party teams under the new "Xbox Game Studios" banner, which was really noticeable during Microsoft's E3 press conference this year. Over the last two or three years they kept frontloading E3 trailers with EXCLUSIVE WORLD PREMIERE but that was toned down/nonexistent at E3 2019.

Halo Infinite sounds like a return to form in regards to both campaign and mutliplayer. Cautiously keeping an eye on it. Somewhat optimistic.
>The Coalition
Haven't cared about the Gears of War franchise since the original trilogy came to its conclusion. Never bothered with Judgement or 4. Gears Pop and 5 seem really poor. Tactics sounds promising but I want to see more. E3 2019 story trailer for Gears 5 was too slow and monotonous. Didn't even show Gears 5 gameplay on stage which was another turnoff considering the game will be out in just under 3 months.
>Turn 10
Forza Motorsport is still pretty solid. Surprised that FM8 wasn't announced this year. Guess it's getting delayed and will be a launch title for Xbox Scarlett.
>Playground Games
Forza Horizon is alright, though I guess FH5 is getting delayed as FM8 is going to be next year. More time for Playground to develop that Fable reboot? Hope it's good.
>Rare
Sea of Thieves has great sailing mechanics but the content is very lackluster for an MMO. While the activities try to push you to meet up and socialize with other players I get bored of doing the same basic quests. The new Tall Tale story missions and The Arena added with the Anniversary update are nice. Hope Rare will continue to support the game with new content/story missions like Tall Tales.
>Mojang
Haven't played Minecraft in five or six years and I don't care for that new dungeon crawling game that was just announced.
>Undead Labs
Don't care for State of Decay but I suspect they're working on a third game. Hope they learn from the mistakes they made with the first two and that State of Decay 3 will be the most polished to date.
>Compulsion Games
Never played We Happy Few or Contrast, don't care
>Obsidian
Not really interested in The Outer Worlds but I'm curious to see what they'll do after that.
>inXile Entertainment
Wasteland 2 was a disappointment. Not looking forward to Wasteland 3 that much but I'm keeping an eye on the remaster of the first game.
>Ninja Theory
Hellblade sucked and Bleeding Edge looks generic. Enslaved is still their best game.
>Double Fine
Fig campaign wasn't enough? You don't say. Announced that they were acquired by Microsoft at E3 2019 and showed off a trailer for Psychonauts 2 which seems ok. I wonder if they will bring their remastered adventure games like Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, and Full Throttle to Xbox One and Windows 10.
>The Initiative
These guys are scooping up a lot of industry talent but they haven't really shared info as to what sort of project they're working on. Probably won't be ready for another four or five years.
Most anticipated games from Microsoft right now are Age of Empire II Definitive Edition and the new Microsoft Flight Simulator… not sure who is developing Flight Simulator 2020 but I hope it delivers. The graphics look great based on the E3 2019 showing.
The last big games for Xbox One will be Gears 5, and to a much lesser extent, Battletoads. Halo Infinite is coming late 2020 and confirmed will be cross gen between Xbox One and Xbox Scarlett, also available for Windows 10 PCs.
