For those who prefer 18 wheels to 30 flaps

>decide to do a long drive

>36 in game hours

>2 real time hours

>try for a perfect run, staying the speed limit

>3 minutes from the destination

>get a text, look down

>swerve in to opposite lane

>head on with another truck

>45% cargo damage

>truck 45% damaged

>pay for the job was supposed to be 148k

>wound up with 40 after penalties and repairs

would probably enjoy it more with a wheel, I only played ETS2 but tapping A and D constantly on a 2 hr (real time) drive across the map gets old quick.

Yea I did that for a little bit and picked up this wheel soon after. Made it a lot more immersive and I could watch other stuff while still zoning out driving

I'm doing it with keyboard with manual transmission switching on a numpad (it is op). Great game, too bad it barely runs 24 fps on my integrated card.

i'm looking for a cheap wheel, anyone know about the GXT 570? the only complaints i see are about the suction cups, and what's the difference between the more expensive wheels and the cheaper ones?

I use the driving Force GT which I got new for about 125 but I see some on ebay for 35. It has clamps on the bottom so I don't know how suction cups work but I would recommend one with cups if you're looking to do high levels of force feedback.

More expensive ones likely have more metal components, clutch, and multi-gear shift where the one I use just has an up/down shifter and 2 pedals
