They made some good mods so i hope its good. I get a hankering for minecraft like once a year but its never vanilla minecraft because its trash. You mine shit and plant carrots and maybe go to the end or the sea temples and thats it.

Compare to a modpack where you can industrialise a continent like the adeptus mechanicus, live in the backwoods summoning devils for contracts as a witch, go full INNAWOODS and leave the main world behind for any number of alternate realities to live as some dr strange ancient one type fucker, build a train network with friends or some shit like skyblock or whatever.

If they can look at the most popular shit there than it will be shit hot. The fact Todd put mods in all versions of fallout 4 and skyrim, even consoles yet microsoft didn't buy up a team like hytales to massively expand minecraft the same way is staggering.

From what I've seen so far, it seems like it's going to be virtually nothing like Minecraft. Instead, it's going to be something of an RPG-ish survival game, but with a Minecraft skin on it. Like No Man's Skyrim, except made of voxels. The building element has been shoved to the side to near irrelevancy, and I doubt they'll even have something like redstone because no mention has been made yet.

The alpha version of terraria barely had clouds, depending on the build. On more advanced ones, you had up to Skeletron, iirc. Yes, the builds are still circling around somewhere.

Things you would be missing on Terraria's alpha (depending on the build, and excluding post 1.1 features) and 1.0:

Basically he fell into the same trap as all those Pokemon fan-games. In case of (((Bethesda))), you can claim it as a mod rather than a game and you should be fine. Then what about (((Nintendo)))? The same approach is clearly not gonna fly. Fangame devs could develop their shit in high secrecy and just dump the release and disappear, but A) for the most part they're too faggoty for that, and B) it's gonna be much harder to gather new devs (or any sort of help) when needed and some faggot can always rat everyone out.
