Kirby is an obvious choice, but I feel that the games are a bit too easy for my taste, although fun to play from time to time. I still have to finish Planet Rorobot.

Play the Wonder Boy & Monster World games and also the new Monster Boy and the cursed kingdom. The later ones play a lot as if Westone saw what Nintendo did with Zelda 2 and thought "this had potential." Then realized that potential.

I own copies of all Rayman games besides the first one and the those who shall not be named, I like Cuphead but it is not exactly what I had in mind. I have played Gurumin and it was adorable, but I have to go back to it.
